They also fixe the bug where Mk VI would come in with 80 stacks of swarm, which would enable it to do two instakills out of the gate. Made it almost impossible to recover if they got the ultimate first. ANd fixed Scythe!

I don’t know if you can answer this right now, but what happens when everybody starts using the Scimitar and your opponent wins the coin toss and THEY get Scimitar out first? Aren’t we then in the same situation about who wins the coin flip?

That would have to be their only reinforcement for it to come out first

Just land as many debuffs as you can and the enemy leviathan will use sabotage the hangars turn 2 instead of call reinforcement

Opponent will likely run Scimitar and mark 6 as only reinforcements.

Unless they change the AI, Scimitar is very low priority for reinforcement. So you just bring in Scimitar first.

same here. If opponent set sith figher and scmitar as RI. then it will be a problem.

I think it should still work as without optimal reinforcements Leviathan is missing out on some bonuses, also GR should have much easier time with versus those kind of line ups

Many times in squad arena Levi never gets to 2nd reinforcement if using Prof with mk6.

@@Bitdynasty 100% success so far. I even tried it on auto after the Scimitar RId. Ult first, RI2 Sass R3 MKVI and NEVER used instant kill 89 stacks on it, and still won with 1 min on the clock. Crazy. You did super well with this one! You are the true One who brought back Balance...to the Levi meta! We grant you the rank of Grand Admiral. Take a seat in the middle of the Council!

CG did the work - they changed the Scimitar's kit to enable this.

@@bomafett They fixed the problem they have created. Still took away the Dorito from the FO fleet tho' Not many FO ships there and Dorito is still tied to Leviathan at this point. Still...fixed. For now.

One thing I'm curious about is right now one of the go-to counters for the mirror match is mk 6 in the starting lineup and scimitar as 1st RI to prevent their mk 6 from one shotting someone important. Wouldn't that still be the best overall lineup but just WAY stronger and more consistent now? Since it's basically still the concept of slowing their Levi down by not letting them get debuffs but also now with scimitar we would also be moving even faster?

What works, works, but why-WHY miss out on Mk VI's instakill when the dorito lineup is beefy and will get you to ult and RI with MK VI without ship loss (outside Scimitar's sacrafice)? Basically the MK VI strat is to deny debuffs from enemy to ult faster, but you do that now anyways, so missing out on instakill is...bad play, since you deny a ship it's strongest ability. But hey, play what you like and what works out. :3

If the opponent only sets the Scimitar as RI, does this kill the Profundity counter?

So far for me, Profundity no longer work if opponent only have Scimitar reinforcement.

@ that’s what I was afraid of. Most of my GAC opponents set Leviathan and Executor + punishing one, and I use Profundity vs Levi and Leviathan vs Executor. If I have to do a Levi mirror match, that means pulling GR off of defense to attack the Executor, which is a much less reliable counter.

@@bomafett Reinforce Scimaitar allow Sith allies gain 30 speed, but Profundity suppose to not allow turn meter manipulation, maybe the extra speed wasn’t it? In the end, Leviathan out race my Profundity to ult every time. Go against normal Leviathan reinforcement lineup, Profundity still working as expected.

How does this help? You are facing defensive teams not yet updated to have simitar as their first reinforcement soon as you do the coin flips rules again because they will bring out simitar first if they go first and you’ll never catch up?

Scimitar has a low reinforcement priority so literally any other ship will be sent out first by the AI.

@@blastangel8063 Offense AI is completely different than defense AI. Reinforcement priority is well understood and documented for defensive fleets. Scimitar is *literally* the last ship that will ever be summoned by a defensive fleet. And I ran 10 fleet battles last night with shardmates verifying that this is still the case.

For GAC & TW, this does reduce the defensive value of Leviathan. Perhaps below where it was before this entire mess.. Addendum: on offense, scimitar might be good enough to bring as first reinforcement vs any ship too now. Bonus speed is always helpful. And executor e.g. delivers unpreventable breaches via special, unless you bring Ebon Hawk I guess.

I tried the Profundity with Mark 6 reinforcement against a Levi with scimitar as the only reinforcement and Levi easily got to ultimate first. Have you tested Prof against Levi Scimitar?

Yes. I never defended with it, even if my opponent had basic ships, so I could easily win. If my opponent is dumb-enough to leave their levi on defense, that's just good for me. Having GAC strong offense ensures a full clear against most defense. Mid-strong defense catches most same-level players and lets whales dominate anyways. I prefer to attack, since I am in control of it. Strong Defense is AI controlled and AI is dumb and non-adaptive 95%-ish of the time. Levi as SEE are both attackers...to me at least.

Do you think this reinforcement bonus might have a trickle down effect on RotE DS TB Fleet battles (which are still incredibly difficult for most players)? Will Leviathan become more viable there?
