Agreed Freddie! But anyhoo...Jesse Love! I've watched the kid since the Madera Racing days/daze. He was (still is), a young kid earning his chops at that time and was moved from this start to a bit greener pasture. So have others that came out of this series of stock car racing (names you know now in ARCA, Trucks, Xfinity). The success and discipline/training that is given to these drivers in this series is amazing. Kenny Shepard has done and still(!) does a seriously top shelf job - if folks don't know about it, you should check it out.

@mattrzewnicki6343 Жыл бұрын
I dont think it really matters which way they decide to place cars in line, but they need to be 100% consistent and 100% even for all spots. And they should have signs for teams to see for the DVP list. At least one place, meaning pit road and/or spotter stand. Pit road officials should be told to instruct teams as well. There's more than enough officials to be able to do that. Spotter stand can be as easy as a tv that displays car numbers that are currently on the DVP list. All a spotter would have to do then is look at the screen if they were close to the wreck. It's an easy solution to implement.
@chaselewis100 Жыл бұрын
Go back to 08 Bristol when Denny missed a shift and Jeff Burton passed both Bowyer and Harvick after the caution had already waved
@HydroHollic Жыл бұрын
It should be determined based on the car's ability to cross the start finish line, whether they keep the position or not, after a yellow is thrown. If you are unable to make it back to the start finish line, or are deemed to be part of the cause of the caution, you shouldn't get your spot back.
@amberspears565 Жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you. I don't think you should be sent to the back just bc you were bumped or hit...as a result of the wreck. If your car is on and you weren't the cause of the caution.

1. If these guys think the finish at Darlington was a mess, I urge them and everyone to watch the finish of this year's F1 race in Australia. I'd take the Darlington results over that mess any day. 2. There is no perfect solution to this problem. Everyone agrees racing back to the line is the most fair and dangerous way to determine a finish. It sucks, but safety should always be the priority. Maybe go back to the previous completed lap instead. If you go back through the years in Cup you'll see some big time hits due to drivers racing back to the line especially at Superspeedways. Maybe ban racing back to the flag at larger tracks? Again, there's no right answer.
@dennispalmer6007 Жыл бұрын
When the wreck happens caution should be flown. At that point no one should pass . The position at that point should be were you are. If you’re in a wreck should not determine your position. If a car gets loose in front of you and you have to checkup, sucks to be you because those cars that passed you are now ahead of you.
@zbutler111 Жыл бұрын
It's interesting to compare a driver to a spotter. A driver says "we did this" and "we finished the race" and a spotter says "I hit the wall" and "my car was wrecked". Not calling anyone out, it's just interesting to hear.

Nobody said you did anything wrong but don’t be mad that you’re behind someone that was trapped inside and behind cars where they couldn’t throttle up and go around because cars like yours behind them are trapping them in and you get put behind them. It’s like being stuck behind a slow car in traffic. Even though you’re first in line behind them the lane is going to be clear for the cars behind you first and they are going to go around no matter how bad you want to get over. We’re all competitive and we know that these guys answers would change based on how it affected their driver in the situation.
