So Derek just wanted to say awesome deck I actually have this one in my collection too. A card I didn't see that has worked amazingly well for me especially with lightning bolt type removal is Soul-Scar Mage try it out if you find a cut.

I love this deck and how you built it. I’m not a big infect player and I’m trying to d D o -1/-1 counters and it’s so slow because I built it poorly lol. You gave me a lot of ideas though.

um...you have effects that put -1/-1 counters on your own creatures and dont run that many creatures and have no reliable way to recur them really. Plus it seems strange to use Cauldron of Souls in a deck that is putting -1/-1 counters on your own creatures. They wouldn't come back. Am I missing something here. Seems very counter productive imo.

looking again, there arent a lot of effects like this, but still seems counter productive. May I suggest Hex Parasite, one of the best creatures out there that interact with counters on permanents.

Appreciate the input! Hex parasite is one I definitely need to consider. Playing the deck it feels like just having my own creatures in killable range with a -1/-1 counter or two is necessary for card advantage when opponents aren't playing creature heavy decks. I've found I can usually control whether or not my stuff dies without interrupting what I'm doing but it is for sure something I'll be monitoring going forward. Side note, I usually use cauldron as like a political tool/ way to bring back my opponents 1 toughness creatures for extra draw.
