Another solid video dude, fatherhood has prevented me from uploading anything new for while, need to get back on it! You can really notice the rattle when hitting the uneven surfaces, I've tried working out what on earth is causing it, not the pillion plate covering the exhaust, not the fender, the seat nor a loose number plate etc.. I've had numerous people tell me it's the side stand, which actually makes sense. Tempted to cable tie it and test it. Only shite niggle with the bike!

Hi mate, yeah its prevented me from going riding as much as id want but hey. yeah I have narrowed it down, to chain slap and the sidestand. The numberplate heatshield thing does rattle but some self adhesive foam will fix that, and im thinking a stronger sidestand spring might sort it.

It's the side stand alright

oh, mate, that's some proper off-roading! Does the bike make such a difference, or is it a skill gap?

You've got some great access to land there. Nidderdale, Yorkshire Dales,Forest of bowland, lake district, N pennies,Kielder forest,Norththumbland N park. Get a tent and some bags and tour Scotland.

Yeah we do its just a shame more and more of the trails and greenlanes are getting closed. Thats exactly my plan come the Easter bank holiday, sleeping bag, tent im off to Scotland!!

I totally would love to do the TAT on a Scrambler 1200. It would be awesome.
@KrisMOTO235 жыл бұрын
Yeah man it would! have you tried a 1200 yet? I heard recently that Metal mule are in the process of designing a pannier frame and boxes for the 1200! once thats available best adv bike on the market! Triumph are missing a trick on the luggage side on this bike I think. But yeah TAT on a 1200 XE, do it!

@@KrisMOTO23 Mine rattles like hell. Seen a couple of vids that show how to fix it as it is the cover plate knocking on the exhaust.
@KrisMOTO235 жыл бұрын
@@martynlaverick3405 I just did the Triumph adv experience on a 1200 XE and have to say I never noticed the rattle once. But yeah Im going to be doing that mod on my bike!
