Is funny how so many people comment on Larry's age and weight but I bet that 90% of the people watching this video couldn't run or shoot this course nowhere near as good as he did.

Hey Larry, former student of both you and Walt... that was an OUTSTANDING pistol run on the scrambler. Lots of folks can't perform that well with an AR and a red dot. Will be seeing you next year in Arizona.

Love it Larry. The choice of the H&K and then the Glock. I bet they dont see those too often on the Scrambler. I have only seen videos of people using ARs or some type of rifle on it. And nailing the hits with the pistol (mostly). Very nice

I ran that drill at 223 class many years ago, the very last such class that Pat Rogers (RIP) taught there. I remember the brief about the box station: If you have a brake on your rifle, stick it out the window. If you don't, when you touch off a shot, it will be a religious experience. :D

This would be a great drill while suited and booted...got sloppy with the weapon control with the mp7 while transitioning to that last target. SA/DA pistols I think would be easier

I saw a story about the consideration of letting older men and women serving their country in order to save the lives of our country's youth. After witnessing this video I can see how that would be a terrible idea, as more than half of our elderly soldiers would die on the battlefield from heatstroke and cardiac arrest.
@boomerdimmig56489 жыл бұрын
Well after 15 years of being a Delta assaulter i think he earned his right to get a little more meat on his bones and not have to run 8 miles a morning wouldn't you say? The fact that he can run period is amazing considering what he has been through. You should learn to be a little respectful and less ignorant.

@on2wheels3788 жыл бұрын
too, the guy is former DELTA.. Your comment is on point..
@anthonypine73578 жыл бұрын
He violated the military's 3 second rule.Your up, your seen, your down or your dead. All these skills are perishable and require training. He was slow, took too much time after he had arrived on station to acquire the target and neutralize the threat. He should train more and talk less.
@on2wheels3788 жыл бұрын
Anthony Pine Are you former Delta? Delta forces have a totally different doctrine that the rest of the US Army. What military are you referring to? Maybe you better look up who Larry Vickers is...
@on2wheels3788 жыл бұрын
R EXACTLY.
@anthonypine73578 жыл бұрын
Mr. Ramos. Please use your common sense. Our military has a three second rule and if your still in motion by second 4, the enemy has just blown your head off. Since you had to ask me that, I know for sure you have never had any military training. You want to admire the man fine. You think being in Delta force 30 years ago makes you the expert on military tactics and weapon systems today, I assure you it does not. Any twenty year old private in the Army would have run the course 15 seconds sooner and would have engaged targets and eliminated the threat in almost half the time. Hero worship is fine. Reality is something else altogether.
