This song is beyond cathartic - a painfully poignant reminder of some excellent friends who fell along the way.

Time speaks with golden words (You watch them burn) When there's nothing to be heard Hides behind the stars Silver in the night (She can't be right) Lies in the coming light She speaks with diamonds in their eyes She won't Time living with today (Who is to say) In a lonely way She whispers never a surprise She won't tell you why Time speaks her golden tongue (Nowhere to run) And when everything is done She lies to no one Never found her here (Her words so clear) She lives within us here She speaks with diamonds in their eyes She won't tell you why

Many a drive with this gem playing. Gorgeous, mind-bending. Like some otherworldly combination of Cream and The 13th Floor Elevators. The Trees at their best.

I'm going to pick up my Les Paul (for the lead can only be a Les Paul Standard) and not play this but practice sustaining a bent note at the very dusty end of the fret board.

Su lado más blusero de los Screaming Trees, una de las mejores bandas de rock sin duda

And why did this band not blow up something fierce? Maybe my taste in music really is odd idk man.

Ask Nirvana and all the other so-called grunge bands who inspired them....
@douglasdoyle89442 жыл бұрын
They’ll all say Green River and Mudhoney.
@marktalbott38352 жыл бұрын
@@douglasdoyle8944 seeing as screaming trees predate both those bands by a number of years it's pretty laughable that you would think they inspired the other bands. Have you asked these bands who inspired them by the way? The screaming trees are far in a way better than any of those crap grunge bands that capitalized on the corporatization of so-called alternative music. They were sellouts is what they were lacking the musical and lyrical skills of a band as transcendent as screaming trees. Again try to explain to me how a band that predated the band you mentioned was not an influence. You're not very bright. Typical of grunge aficionados

I am pretty fond of some grunge - definitely not all, but this has been my favorite band since i can remember. Granted, i am from the same town and the first live music i ever witnessed was this band playing this particular album. I can say, though, that they were around quite a few years before even nirvana was a thing. Other worlds was released in 85 i think..
