Named the 'Gulf Screen Guild Show' from 1939 to 1940, the show debuted with this episode titled the “Variety Revue” on January 8, 1939. Hosted by George Murphy, the show features Jack Benny, Reginald Gardiner, Joan Crawford, Judy Garland, Ralph Morgan, and the Oscar Bradley Orchestra. Worthy to note their salaries were donated! I love the cute bit between Judy and Joan. ❤
