Such a humble, kind, intelligent man.I had a heavy heart whilst watching this.Your legacy will continue to bring joy and teach people about the fascinating world of sound.Every time I have fun playing my keyboard,it's possible because of your life long dedication to all things analogue.Thank you Bob.

It's so nice to see Bob on TV still enthusiastic and loving telling us about them. It makes me sad that he would pass away the year after. RIP Bob, a gentleman and pioneer.

So grateful for the genius behind this cite. I found you because of the simple desire to understand the meaning of "theremin," a word new to me in a music review in my paper newspaper. Hello Google. I've been hearing theremins on soundtracks for decades. My first child was born in 1965, by the way.

I'm glad this Screen Savers clip exists, because it's like a condensed version of the highlights from Bob Moog's interviews on the Moog DVD.

"It's just fun to play. It just feels good. There's a connection between the player and the instrument which goes beyond something that can be explained with physical theories. It's in the spiritual world." That is the best ever explanation of why analog synthesizers are so appealing, and of course it comes from Moog himself.

I had a dream I died and the one thing I wanted to take with me was my synthesizers (sad I know). I'm still praying there are synths in heaven (or at least a synth harp) hopefully with Dr. Moog there his work will continue on...

The Screensavers was such an awesome show! They had cool informative segments like this all the time. I really miss TechTV. Once G4 took over, everything that was good on that channel was destroyed forever.

Yes it is, but due to the nature of analogue circuitry the results from a vst may be unsatisfactory at times.

what an awesome episode. on a side note, this was back when tech tv-type programming was good. it's a shame they merged into G4 (which was also better at that time) and turned into this awkward trendy wannabe channel that is G4 today. nonetheless, I'm glad this video exists and thanks for uploading it!
