This video describes the role of a Scrum Master and the journey an agile team and the Scrum Master is on. It uses a 2D chart to describe the correlation between the team maturity and the level of self-management. Check out www.marcelvanho... for more visual thinking and team facilitation videos.

As companies look to build organisational capabilities in being more agile, adaptive, innovative - this is a great tool to plot where their teams are at, in terms of operating at a level of maturity to 'help others' - work across functions, regions, divisions and where they are at in terms of levels of empowerment to self-manage. Great visual tool to discuss current organisation and leadership culture, and the impact on teams in moving towards a vision of high performance.... thankyou for sharing Marcel!

I have spent the last 3 days trying to update my CV with my SM role. I have been unable to get the right explanation, while not over writing. This video has solved that! Excellent work Marcel

Nice vid, but personally i think it does not work. If you replaced the word 'team' to 'individual' and 'scrum master' to 'coach' everywhere, i'd agree. But anyone speaking about teams and not about 'group of individuals temporarily co-working for a single goal' should learn a bit why communism actually failed. Sorry for the strong comparison.

Rome is not built in one day. The world will change and the team member will change day by day. I don't think it's possible to keep the "automatic-running team" like this for the long term. "You have time to do something" else sound like "you have nothing to do here any more".

You have obviously not understood what a team is. this has nothing to do with communism.

Great - looks like a crocodile/alligator at the end. Should we study their ecosystem to understand Scrum/Agile management?

I just became the Scrum Mater. I have no Idea what it is or what will happen. I somehow speak well, But must learn to be professional now and train my mind. I also have never done this before in my life. I am the youngest in the team, college graduate, my first job, after bouncing from networking to web development and then Now I landed in this scrum management mastery thing. Hope I make all happy and God proud that is all I seek. and Hope I get a full time job, Thank you.

It would have been a lot better had you prepared your slides in advance with powerpoint rather than keep writing and drawing while explaining, which is highly distracting. Not a good approach to demonstrate an effective way to impart knowkedge.

From my experience people can focus better when you develop a komplex drawing together with them. 👍
