I don't understand Chinese shows at all. The ex husband had a happy ending with the new woman and everyone was cozy cozy. He and his mother literally destroyed the wife's future ability to have children and he had no issue dumping his wife and daughter because she couldn't give him a son, even when she had given up everything including her career for him. Now he gets to be Mr. Perfect for a new woman, the mother in law gets what she wants and he is forgiven by the ex and still has his daughter. These shows make my heart heavy and makes me realise how easy it is for women to be abandoned

Yes you're right it's not fair that the scumbag got what he wanted afterwards he and his mother had done to humiliate, bully, harass and try to make Tianlan's life miserable. But the fact was he himself and mother would never have any children or grandchildren be it a boy or a daughter except for Mo Li to carry on the liu blood line 😂 That's the punishment the mother and son got. They had to bring up another man's son ... because the new girlfriend didn't want to have any more children after seeing the mother's and son's attitude towards her predecessor and their only grandchild.The mother and son pair was so quick and adamant of getting rid of Tianlan when she became infertile after going through a difficult childbirth with Mo Li instead of sympathizing with her. It's retribution from above. On top of that or to rub salt into their(the mother's and son's) wound, Tianlan met up with and worked for a fertility specialist, Xiangdong who fell in love with and protected her and helped her not only to become fertile again but to also have her own successful career as a nutritionist. Xiangdong not only loved Tianlan but Mo Li too. He also bonded with Mo Li. Now Tianlan and Mo Li because of the goodness of her heart got Xiangdong and possibly one or more children and both of the families (Tianlan's and Xiangdong's) behind them ... This is better than holding a grudge against the mother and son ... There are always consequences for actions done. Goodness begets goodness, bad and evil deeds will result in retributions ...

Children are innocent and pure. It's the adults influences which made them to become who and what they are when they grow up. Of course genes do also play a part because the mould that's already in the children cannot be got rid of from them. But the adult influences can either make them better or worse. Tianlan's influences on Mo Li were good influences but part of her genes were from zhanping and his mother. That's why she always had the suspiciousness in her. Tianlan's came from very good parenting as well as good genes. Zhanping came from an obsessed, ignorant, crazy, overbearing mother who humiliated, bullied and dominated others including her her son. Overall Mo Li would become a very mature, intelligent, smart, polite, kind,caring and generous person because Tianlan brought her up to be that and her influences together with Mo Li's own intelligence and maturity would overcome the liu family bad influences ... Tianlan had a good and caring heart and didn't hold any grudges against the liu mother and son even though she was humiliated, bullied, harassed and put down by them. And that's the examples she set for Mo Li to follow. Han Xiangdong could pick that up as she also helped him to reunite with his parents. Unfortunately she couldn't help the lius as they were both selfish, ignorant, arrogant and obnoxious. Anyway they didn't want to be helped as they thought that Tianlan's not clever and looked down on her. But they didn't realize that she's one very smart woman and with the help of Xiangdong had achieved her dream of becoming a qualified nutritionist helping people especially old and sick ones. All these happened because of the young Dr Han Xiangdong's love and appreciation of her as she's. Mo Li would become a great person under the guidance and love of Tianlan and Xiangdong. Not sure how xiaoyu would turn out ... 😅

What’s this drama about. They were already divorce when he started a relationship with the mother with the son? So is he really interested in the woman or the possibility that she might be able to give him a son. Does he really have no regards for ex wife and his daughter? If so, why does he assist on having daughter and ex around? Is it that they’re witnessing his relationship with the woman and her son and are angry bc he didn’t treat them the same way? No they were not fully divorced when he started the Relationship with the mother of the little boy. He didn't finalize the relationship with his ex wife until after he met her and his mother approved of her because she had a little boy.

Also to answer your question on why he wants the daughter and ex around, He's a control freak he and his mother. When they were married he complained about her share so she gave up her career and stayed home and took care of the mother in law in home and then he became successful and when they got a divorce he didn't give her anything
