Spectacular pictures, from the Norwegian Lofoten Islands, where the sea eagles scavenge from whaling and the swamps in Finland, where the Sea Eagle moves with the wolves and ears to scavenge the remains of their prey. The documentary presents the different habitats of the sea eagle in Europe. Again, our thanks go to dedicated conservationists and foresters, who dedicate their lives to creatures like the Sea Eagle. Once again, the forests have become a safe breeding place for these magnificent creatures. Available worldwide except GST, Czech Republic, Qatar A Reminder: Fans and friends of the Most Dangerous Ways to School Series have been asking for a long time how they can donate to help these kids directly. We had a problem with bald eagles and their eggs becoming soft here in the PNW I think we banned lead shot in shotgun shells used for geese and duck hunting, the lead pollutes the waterways where the ducks live, and the fish they eat also live there Once that happened they slowly recovered with the help of falconers and hacking Today we use lead inside our hunting rounds still but that doesnt seem to be a problem You also have to consider we have CONSIDERABLY more wild land and space that is undeveloped and will remain so, for hunting. So the lead is dispersed over a very very large area compared to europe where is concentrates in the fewer places you can hunt, which coincides with the few suitable habitats left for these birds

Neway.. This is a very well made, high quality documentary with stunning camera work and gorgeous scenery. Very impressive. There have been some studies showing that by painting the blades on the wind generators a dark contrasting color, birds tend to not fly into them.. This needs to be looked at. The fact that wind generators are killing birds upsets me to no end. I'd rather have no electricity PERIOD than to have those monstrosities killing our birds. We cannot replace an extinct animal.
@anon-lz8xv5 ай бұрын
kind of ironic that something built to protect the environment is killing it
@lilmike27105 ай бұрын
@@anon-lz8xv No "kind of" to it I'm afraid. . The idea sounds good and looks good on paper.. Until the hard numbers are looked at. As of 2024, wind turbines generate 10% of the power in the US. That's from almost 75 thousand turbines across 48 states. At a cost of between 2.5 to 4.5 million dollars each. Not including maintenance. That's an average of 3 million dollars each. Now imagine spending 3 million dollars, 75 thousand times. 😳 And I'm not 100% against them. It's not a bad thing per-se. All I'm saying is that they're not the super amazing answer to our energy issues that the MSM and the politicians that most assuredly profit from them somehow would have us believe. Worse than the cost vs effectiveness is the fact that they kill birds and nobody has even bothered to admit it, much less address it.
