Trust there's a lot more weirder combinations between gods and spirits than a cyclops. PS, not all cyclopes are cannibals. Some actually help out the gods making weaponry and stuff like that.

2:46 haha est part :) oh and to answer your first question you learn more about the names as you go on in the books but quick answer saying a gods name is close to worshiping in the sense of that not many people even remember the gods so they aren't as powerful as they used to be, so just saying their name is sorta like invoking Voldemort's name...if that makes any sense :) and so happy that you are reading this series :D you will not be disappointed

Worst part of book 3(the titans curse) Annabeth was only in alike four parts. The very beginning before she fell off the cliff, Percy's dreams. Aww so curate Percy dreams about Annabeth. And Luke O.O. And the very end were she sees some one die(Zoë) that she doesn't know and then they dance on Mt. Olympus.
