Yeah it’s the same in the dub , except with some stuff in between , I always got the idea that Yami saw Yugi get rid of their hands (one of the few things they still hand in common at that point ) and then he realized Yugi wasn’t playing around anymore and that he really was trying to cut contacts with the pharaoh and it scared him .

I recall in another video that someone criticize this saga because in the manga Yugi never lose a duel. This very episode showed the reason why the Pharoah lost to Rafael and it serves an important reminder that even the most determined individual is not without flaws. This is exactly relatable to all of us, not the manga version where he wins every duel except the last duel.

I should mention its wrong that Yugi never lost a duel in the Manga anyway. If we talk the Pharaoh than did he lose to Pegasus on a tap due to his own ego wanting him to win by dropping Pegasus lifepoints to zero rather than stalling out the timer when he had the upper hand And if we talk Yugi did he lose again Imori (one of villain of the day from the early manga) in a game of Dragon Cards and got even his soul stolen by an ancient Chine pot (only surviving because the Pharaoh got a rematch and won Yugi's soul back) (fun fact said cursed Chinese pot is actually 5000 years old and so 2000 years older than the Millennium Items)

yugi's deck is very strong, her power increases for every mage in the graveyard! I thought about it a little bit too

Not quite. Big Shield Garda only has 100 ATK, even if Black Magician Girl attacked it after Obnoxious Celtic Guardian forced it into ATK position by hitting first, Atem still would have survived with 200 LP left since he would only take 2900 points of damage from the attack. Yugi would still need one more turn to defeat Atem for good. The most Yugi could have done that turn was reduce the amount of LP he would have lost forcing BSG into attack position by having Queen's Knight attack it instead of OCG since she has 2000 ATK compared to Celtic's 1900

The point of the duel wasn't who won or lost the point was that atem was forced to fight yugi at all after what he'd done to him. it was an emotional battle not a mechanical one the story this duel told was great imo
