Very interesting, scientifically thorough documentary. Having said that, you can sense a forgiving, even praising tone towards the CCP and how they handled this crisis. CNA is owned by Mediacorp, which in turn is owned by Temasek (sovereign wealth fund of the Singapore Government). Singapore has very strong ties with China and the CCP. Don't expect this documentary to expose any skeletons in the CCP's closet...

they did handle it well no? obviously now there are concerns over whether zero covid really is the right approach, but back then countries just aimed to minimize covid cases, which china had success with. As of now, their citizens dont even need to wear masks and life is pretty much back to normal. I have some chinese friends and I feel kinda jealous when i see them posting maskless pictures of them travelling around and playing lol. also, singapore's official political approach is to maintain friendly ties with both china and the US, we don't side towards any particular side.

Yep. The virus didn't come from the "wet market". The lab was playing with it. The "missing" 20% of the dna profile turns out to be the HIV dna which does not naturally combine with other virus. It was introduced into the SARS virus to make it easier to enter humans and have to longer life. One virus does not naturally mutant with another virus. While it was informative, I could not help but notice some weird usage of footages, esp. in the beginning where the initial stage of the virus was explained. It seems to me, a viewer, Korean footages are casually used in between Chinese footages. For instance, when explaining the Wuhan wet market, there was a footage of a Korean market. S. Korea is NOT the origin of the virus. S. Korean markets do NOT sell wild animals such as bats, the host of the virus. Maybe the editors and producers did not speak Chinese or Korean so it got overlooked? Casually using two different cultures as if they are interchangeable doesn't seem to do any justice for either culture :)
