Fun fact the season 3 finale was originally supposed to be the series finale (yes,you read that right) that's why Twilight flew so easily in the finale but has so much difficulty in season 4 but due to the hub's 65 episode rule and then being bought out but it got so many views as a tv show for their channel that the last episode gained far more views than normal and then discovery eventually decided to keep due to it's popularity, some other things and how relatable it was and could be

God, this finale means the world to me, now and especially when I was younger. I'm pretty sure I cried during Celestia's ballad the first time I watched it, because everything just felt so right. Also! When chat was saying "this was the last episode" in reference to the finale, they were mentioning how MLP was originally going to end at the season 3 finale, before it got extended. That's part of the reason the budget went up so much and it was a full musical episode, unlike other finales.

Man I forgot how emotional the season 3 finally made me. Especially the true true freind song. I fondly remember crying in the dining room when they yelled pinky as a child, I think it was the musical build up. But now as a new adult entering the next chapter of my life, it's celestias song that got me the most this time around. celestias song made me cry even more now because I swear I could hear my mom singing theses exact words to me like she's always doing (she breacks out into song like momamia). I love that your wacthing this show. It was my favorite (still is) show and your one of my fav steamers so it makes rewatching this show even more worth it :)

Congrats Aimsey, For you have just witnessed the episode that started one of the most popular ships in the mlp fandom! Even today FlutterCord is still considered to be one of the shows greatest shippings! As for the episode itself, It was nice to see Discord again though many people in the fandom thought that reforming him as a character was one of the dumbest decisions that the writers had ever made, Especially because at the time the show didn't have that many top quality villains. But I found Discord's arc in the FIM series to be interesting! "Just For Sidekicks" it's an interesting Spike episode, Seeing Spike take on the responsibility of petsitting was good in terms of character development. Sure he mostly only care about his dumb jewel cake but at least he learned his lesson in the end, And it was cool seeing all of the Mane 6 pets together in one place again. "Games Ponies Play" is also a very interesting episode, Especially because we learn that Equestria apparently had it's own version of the Olympic games. And of course it was always good to see Cadence and Shining Armor again! I loved all of the antics that the Mane 6 got into in that episode, Even the parts with Rarity working on Cadence's mane were funny. But I was happy that everything worked out in the end. To this day, Even though some people like "Magical Mystery Cure" sadly a large sum of the mlp fandom hated the episode mainly because they thought Twilight should've never been made an Alicorn because Twilight becoming an Alicorn was just another way for Hasbro to say "Buy our toys" and of course some people also thought it was a little too early for her to become an Alicorn like Twilight would've needed 1 or 2 more seasons worth of development. But I personally was proud of what Twilight had accomplished! In fact this particular season finale was actually meant to be the end of Twilight's arc as Celestia's student in the series. Although after season 3 the series started to focus more on not just Twilight but the entire Main cast of characters. And one of the many things I loved about this episode was the songs! To this day songs like "What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me" and "True, True Friend" are considered to be fan favorite songs!!!

I love MLP but I never told anyone about it because I didn't feel it was very welcoming thing for people to find out about considering I'm supposed to be a responsible adult and less childish. Finding Aimsey's channel gave me the welcoming safe space where I feel it's okay to still like what I want. I thank Lauren Faust and her team for putting together a beautiful show that teaches valuable lessons and make me laugh and feel happy but most importantly I thank Aimsey for helping me realize that liking my little pony doesn't make me any less of an adult or less responsible and it shouldn't be frowned upon to like something simple. Time to get weirdly personal on the internet for complete strangers! Growing up, MLP FIM meant a lot to me because I never really had a group of friends that I felt would always choose me and be there for me. And this season finally will always make me cry because of the song 'A True True Friend'. As a child, I lived vicariously through this colorful pony show. If anyone were to ask me, this show was one of the main things that turned me into the person I am today. (Also side note to parents, don't move around a lot when your kids are young if you can help it. It'll fuck up your kids ability to form and maintain long-lasting friendships and also lead them to quickly trust people they probably shouldn't because they think they need to make friends as fast as they can before another move happens or they will avoid friendships altogether. Sincerely- a kid who this happened to and still fucked u about)

If Discord were truly evil, and not a cheerful Lord of Chaos, he would have slammed them all long ago, and maybe began to physically torture them for daring to challenge him at all, even when he had changed. Naturally, you cannot completely change him, he is Chaos, and Chaos is not always exactly evil. He is the opposite of the spirit of Harmony, and if there is no Discord, there will be no balance in power. It seems that Celestia understood this, but not the main six with her stupid “princess of friendship”, who often does not live up to her status

I had faith in Fluttershy the whole time when Celestia pointed out her to be able to help reform Discord. I never once doubted her skills or her abilities to handle him, and her kindness and knowing what to do the whole time in how to reform him and to help out I knew she could do it all along. I was disappointed in the other 5 ponies. Because their job is to get Discord to want to reform willingly of his own free will, but he needed something that he didn't realize that he didn't have. You've got to put yourself in his shoes for a moment take your personal feelings out of the main 6 storyline for a second. And think about his life, how he's lived his whole life, no mom, no dad, he's one of a kind and he's mysterious creature built up many different animals and is basically a chaos God of the pony worlds. I am not sure how he is born exactly not much detail but all I know is that he's one of a kind and alone all the time, and sure he did do some bad when we first met him and his games and his plotting but try to think about it from another point of view. Imagine you were the only one of your kind none other like you, but you have always lived and did things your own way, and that's just who you are...! Discord is a spirit of chaos and being normal would kill him, he would disappear, and it would end his life, in fact we do get an episode explaining this later on down the road, but I won't spoiled it for anyone, but just pointed it out there are reasons he took personal protection and stole Twilight books pages from her in order to protect himself. So, either way. He has to be true to himself but in a way, it can help others out in stand of harming them or causing pure chaos like he's done before. Celestia had faith in Fluttershy because I think it's because of all the ponies' she did beat Discord's little mind trick out of all the others in the maze, she wasn't falling for his tricks. Point is thinking like that and never knowing what true friendship is, Discord needed that but didn't realize how badly he needed it. Twilights plan was to use magic and force him into submission of forced obedience that's wrong. Now hear me out. In season 2 opening of when were interduce to Discord. He changed them with a spell trying to break their friendship and turn them into something they were not. And they hated it. So, why is it okay for them to use the same spell against him turning him into something he is not and against his own free will and also ending his life his existence basically. The mission is to get him to agree to use magic of his own free will not by a spell forcing him too that's just wrong. Twilight's plan was to force him into reforming instead of actually trying to go about it in another way. And that is why Fluttershy's plan to reform him by being his friend, showing him, what friendship is and what it truly looks like when someone cares about you. Something he wasn't able to understand for a long time because he's always been alone, he's one of a kind of his own species. Twilight and the others are wrong because there basically saying you do what we tell you to do or it's back to stone they are just throwing out Ultimatums for him to obey by, and I don't care who you are, weather you're a guy or a girl, no one likes it when you give them an Ultimatums in friendship or relationship it's not a good thing to use that against someone because there just do the opposite of what you want them to do there going to rebel against you, and then you either end broken up with or you lose friendships. so, in the end of this I am going to say that Twilight forcing this on Discord, that's not giving him a chance to see anything else other then they want to imprison him slavery in his eyes. That's not the right path to take when trying to reform someone. But that's my opinion on this whole thing, so I never once doubted Fluttershy this whole episode. Sorry, for ranting but this is just something I felt was fair to explain and talk about with others. I am sorry for going on. Liquid Pride to this day! I am so happy you were not spoiled like I was seeing a later episode. I am so proud of Twilight like you said she is finally getting the credit she deserves; she is one of my favorite characters ever! I loved so many of the songs in this particuralry Celestia's song about how she was always watching and how proud she was it almost felt like I was part of a family moment. Also remember this actually means that Twilight should now have a life span similar to Spike who she is closest to and might otherwise have been left alone. Its always so funny to see modern reactions to Twilight becoming a princess, because back when it actually first happened the fandom collectively lost their shit! A lot of people thought ot wwas awesome, but there was a sizeable portion who thought it was the show jumping the shark, declared it the death of the show and some even straight up quit the fandom in disgust. to clear up confusion the show was meant to be cancelled after season 3 which is why its shorter and why the finale feels rushed and has better animation. The show was so loved thought that they continued for the next six seasons!
