People who spend so much time, effort and money on making & collecting art and displaying them throughout their homes, etc., (demonic ties, in each one BECAUSE it displays disobedience). If that's not a display of worship (meaning, worth ship), then I don't know what is (the false doctrine, heretical Roman Catholic church, with all of their statues & images, comes to mind). Don't be DECEIVED. Selling & buying art is promoting IDOLATRY (WORSHIP definition is WORTH SHIP; meaning, how much importance/worth is there/do we give to these THINGS that humans copy; showing that they spend their means ((time, money & effort)), to duplicate/manufacture, gift & sell/buy them). Humanity wastes MASSES of finances on useless art, which could OTHERWISE be used to help & save the MASSES of suffering & dying people, instead. In the book of Acts, they burned their books of arts/crafts/ungodly content of IDOLATRY & it was equivalent to 50.000 pieces of silver (50.000 days of work; CERTAINLY, an ungodly waste & when put into context of seeing it ALL brought together, they saw the evil & BURNED it, to keep it from EVER deceiving others & I'm SURE the demons & Satan HATED that work of righteous obedience to YAHWEH/CHIST). MOST will NOT surrender, follow/obey (Scripture says it again and again; MANY are called but FEW are chosen). They WILL stay in their prideful sin, to serve themselves (it's not worth it; trust me). Don't be deceived. It's ALL going on record, for The Judgement Day. Like a court date trial, demons WILL point out those records of display, if they continue without forgiveness & Salvation transformation testimony, to prove evidence of correction. Please, think about it. Examine your heart & ask if it serves CHRIST & would CHRIST do it. Friends of the world, are enemies of YAH. THAT'S HIS TRUTH. *** James 4:3-10 KJV 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with GOD? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the ENEMY of GOD. 5 Do ye think that the Scripture saith in vain, The Spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But He giveth more grace. Context, indeed.Those very SPECIFIC instructions from the LORD for a SPECIFIC purpose was done in obedience. To not do it without specific instruction, I believe, IS disobedience. It wastes resources & causes distraction & is the very definition & example of not being content & thus, coveting. ...& then wasting the time, effort & money it costs to produce such nonsense. I believe He meant what He said in the commandment. That's why the Catholics rearranged & changed the 10 commandments (to allow their beads, statues, etc.). I've watched little kids (raised in a so-called "Christian" home & they are obsessed with their toys & are allowed to covet, relentlessly. I believe you were taught correctly. How about bowing to the national Flag? Which has stars ⭐️moon and ☀️ sun could be an ancient tricks of satan?
@fernandogallardo34582 жыл бұрын
The idols of the nations are in the flags, and the flags are high and lifted up on a flag pole, and those who are serving the flag are serving idols. The idol worshippers of the US, are worshipping the star spangled of heaven, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The idol worshippers of Israel, are worshipping the star remphan of heaven, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem [ Acts 7:43 ] The idol worshippers of Canada, are worshipping the leaf of the maple tree of the earth, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The idol worshippers of Mexico, are worshipping the eagle and serpent of the earth, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The idol worshippers of Japan, are worshipping the sun of heaven, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. Idolatry is through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. When the king of ancient Babylon the great played the anthem at the sound of music the Babylonians fell down to the ground and worshipped the golden statue of the earth. When the US plays the anthem at the sound of music the US stand on their feet and worshipped the star spangled of heaven with a song. The nations made graven images, in the likeness of the stars of heaven, in the likeness of the moon, in the likeness of the sun, in the likeness of birds and four footed beasts of the earth, and set the images in the flags, to serve them. The blind cannot see the nations graven images in the flags, and the flags high and lifted up on a flag pole, because the blind cannot see with their eyes, or hear with their ears, or understand with their heart. God is against serving objects, symbols, and graven images, in the likeness of anything in heaven above, or in the likeness of anything in the earth below [ Exodus 20:3-5 ], and [ Deuteronomy 4:15-19 ] If the star spangled was a huge statue of wood or stone, the blind would not be pledging allegiance to a statue. The star spangled of heaven demands worship, and sacrifices, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. And there is no difference between bowing down to an idol, or standing to an idol, because idolatry is from the heart. And there is no difference between the idols made of silver and gold, of wood and stone, and idols made of fabric. The flag is an object. And the star spangled is an image, in the likeness of the stars of heaven. And God is against serving objects, symbols, and images, because it is idolatry. God is against the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The devil is a deceiver, and he can deceive even the very elect with the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. This message of idolatry is from God, to the idol worshippers. In Jesus name.

Hello may our Heavenly Father be with you all always. I have one dispute. The second commandment says to not make any graven images of anything in heaven or earth or the seas. That in itself as written in exodus 20:4 as one whole verse and is a commandment by itself. What you did in psalms was isolate a piece of a verse to bring factual insight on the need to undertand the context in which a verse is being said however if that command was to be in addition to the third commandment rather than a command on its own, there would be no need for those to be seperate commandments the would but be one commandment. Even when Yah is speaking abut the sabbath day in His commandments, He used verses to explain further the sabbath day. That was not done in the second or third commandments because after saying to have no gods before him he then said not to make any graven images and then said not to bow to them (referring to graven images). Please respond in light of this so we can discuss further and continue to grow in our Heavenly Father Yahweh by His grace. May He continue to bless and keep you all in Yahshua's Blessed name. Amen

"However in EVERY instance, the context is about worshiping and bowing down to them." This comment is a blatant lie, unless you haven't applied due diligence and searched all the Scriptures that Command against graven/carved images, in fact the Scripture YOU quoted (Deut 4:15-19) clearly Commands to make no likenesses and does NOT mention bowing or worshiping, but includes the warning LEST you be drawn away to worship the host of the heavens. Deut 4:23-25 - no mention of bowing or worship. Lev 19:3-4 - no mention of bowing or worship. Deut 27:15 - "Cursed is the man who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to YHWH, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amĕn!" - CURSES and ABOMINATION - no mention of bowing or worship. Deut 7:26 - “And do not bring an abomination into your house, lest you be accursed like it. Utterly loathe it and utterly hate it, for it is accursed.” Isa 31:7 “For in that day, let each man reject his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made for yourselves, as a sin.” The MAKING or POSSESSION of images is clearly mutually exclusive to that of BOWING and WORSHIP. Lev 19:28 reads: “Do not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor put tattoo marks on you. I am YHWH.” So does this mean one can make tattoo marks on oneself as long as it’s not for the dead? Of course not! Your video is giving an excuse to those who mount their idols on the prominent places in their house as a source of self-pleasure and give their children i-dolls to comfort them! 1 John 5:21- “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amĕn.”

Hello 2BeSavedCom, I am just letting you know that your first two scriptural references (Deuteronomy 4: 15-19 and 23) and your point about there being no mention of worshipping or bowing down, doesn't hold true. If you read all of chapter 4 and 5, the 10 commandments (includes the instruction not to worship and bow down) are spoken about before and after your quotation. And actually, Im postive that verses 15-19, are a reference to the incident of the golden calf (when the israelites made an image to represent God and worshipped and bowed down to it). I was briefly going through your other quotations but I am not sure I want to or need to. Your reactiveness is known through your strong choice of words and reveals a heart issue. Even if you were correct in all that you believe (I think you will be more clear when you give up this way of writing) you are not correcting your brother with love. Even if he was not your brother, you aren't speaking with love and should be. The trait of one truly converted is not just that they know theology, but that they correct with brotherly love.
@2besavedcom-72 жыл бұрын
@@houseoftherapy3864 - Maybe you should read all the Texts quoted and take note of how language actually works. “Do not plant for yourself any tree as an Ashěrah near the altar of יהוה your Elohim that you make for yourself." (Deut 16:21) Does this mean I CAN erect a totem pole as long as it's not near the altar of Yahweh? Clearly there is a heart issue, when one deliberately chooses to ignore straightforward Commands from the Word that occur multiple times. People do love their graven images and any excuse to hold on to them.
@houseoftherapy38642 жыл бұрын
@@2besavedcom-7 The man speaking in this video has argued that there is no biblical warrant for claiming that it is sinful to have any sort of image or art work of a created thing (e.g. birds, trees, people etc). He makes the point that context is very important for identifying how the author of the Bible (God) intends to define what a “graven” or “carved image” actually is. The statement "However in EVERY instance, the context is about worshiping and bowing down to them" is the refute to those who want to isolate bible passages on their own and take them out of context. The speaker wants the listener to see that biblical exegesis (the consideration of context and consistency) is the proper way to read the bible to help man avoid the errors of eisegeses (one’s own personal interpretation - bias). So 2BeSavedCom, I have examined your claims on each scriptural passage. 2BeSavedCom: “This comment is a blatant lie,…. (the following) does NOT mention bowing or worshiping” : 2BeSavedCom: (Deut 4:15-19) clearly Commands to make no likenesses and does NOT mention bowing or worshiping, but includes the warning LEST you be drawn away to worship the host of the heavens. Comment: If you read all of chapter 4 and 5, the 10 commandments (includes the instruction not to worship and bow down) are spoken about before and after your quotation. Verses 15-19, are a reference to the incident of the golden calf (when the Israelites made an image to represent God and worshipped and bowed down to it. 2BeSavedCom: Deut 4:23-25 - no mention of bowing or worship. Comment: Again, there is reference to the ten commandments before and after this quotation. 2BeSavedCom: Deut 7:26 - “And do not bring an abomination into your house, lest you be accursed like it. Utterly loathe it and utterly hate it, for it is accursed.” Comment: This quotation refers to the silver or gold on the images of their gods as being an abomination. “you shall not covet the silver or gold that is on them - for it is an abomination to the LORD (verse 25-26)” The silver and gold was an abomination because it was a form of serving and worshipping the graven image or idol (contrary to your claim). 2BeSavedCom: Deut 27:15 - "Cursed is the man who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to YHWH, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amĕn!" - CURSES and ABOMINATION - no mention of bowing or worship. Comment: “sets it up in secret” At this point the reader is now going to understand what the purpose is of setting up a molten image or idol in secret. It’s to worship and serve it. Since you are referring to the same book (Deuteronomy) you must take it in its entirety to get its context. Or, at the very least, read 10 verses before and after the quotation you are looking at. 2BeSavedCom: Lev 19:3-4 - no mention of bowing or worship. Comment: verse 3 is unrelated. And verse 4 states “Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves molten gods.” The words “idols” or “molten gods” are clearly objects that were intended for worshipping. 2BeSavedCom: Isa 31:7 “For in that day, let each man reject his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made for yourselves, as a sin.” Comment: “his idols”. Previous books of the bible (including Deuteronomy) have to considered for establishing the definition of an idol (something being worshipped). 2BeSavedCom: “Maybe you should read all the Texts quoted and take note of how language actually works.” 2besavedcom, some of your listed passages are not even related to the argument. But what’s more important is that your interpretation of the other passages is based on isolating them on their own and paying no-little attention to the context. This is dangerous because it leads to man’s interpretation of the text and not God’s intended meaning. The bible is here to protect us from error through considering its context and consistency (exegesis). So far you have shown that you are the one that is not handling God’s word carefully and that you overact with aggressive statements (you let the sinful flesh get the best of you). In every quotation you have listed, the context of the passages associates a “graven” or “carved image” with purposeful spiritual use (God’s definition of a “graven” or “carved image”). The truth is, even if you were correct (I don’t believe so), you are driving people away from Christianity with your attitude and I think this goes hand-hand with bad theology. For other readers, I don’t believe that the bible is telling believers that having an image of birds, trees or even a statue of something resembling the beauty of God’s creation as being sinful. But I do believe that the Bible leads us to conclude that it would be nonsense to have a statue or picture that is or was clearly being used spiritually (“lest you bow down and worship it”). Catholic icons, statues and praying to saints are sinful because they are going beyond the scriptures (God killed Aaron's sons for going beyond what He instructed and there are many similar warnings throughout the Bible that should lead people away from doing such things). Even if you say you are not worshipping the saint, you are going beyond the word of God which is idolatry (for "there is only one mediator between God and man - Jesus Christ"). And I would question the motive of someone going out of their way to seek some sort of picture/image of Christ.
@2besavedcom-72 жыл бұрын
@@houseoftherapy3864 - I've never seen such a misuse of clear language, sir. All the Texts you have explained away DO NOT mention bowing, yet you continue to maintain that worship is "implied." Implied because that's the way you WANT to read the Text, which is called eisegesis (reading into the Text) in opposition to exegesis (reading out of the Text). I could point to all the fallacies in your comprehension, but your twisting of Deut 7:27 was too painful. The Text reads: “AND do not bring AN abomination into your house..." - It's not referring to the silver and gold in this continuation by the waw consecutive and reads "AN abomination" clearly defining ANY graven image. Again, you fail to comprehend other examples from Scripture where the Command in question lists multiple transgression, which are mutually exclusive eg. do not MAKE, nor WORSHIP. And in the example provided in Deut 4:16-19 the context is made super clear NOT to make ANY LIKENESS with the warning that LEST you be drawn away into bowing (worshiping) Again, another example: Deut 24:7 “When a man is found kidnapping any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and treats him harshly or sells him, then that kidnapper shall die." BY your logic (and that of the presenter of the video) I may kidnap a fellow believer and be good to go as long as I don't "treat him harshly." I have seen this sort of excuse over and over from those who love their collection of graven images. The very Command spoken against the most in all of Scripture!
@kingdomambassador19044 жыл бұрын
So idolizing any thing but Yah is a transgression of His Torah, it comes back always to complete fidelity to Him... HalleluYAH It’s a tricky thin line however....when the seemingly ‘harmless’ thing become an IDOL?!? THIS is the danger... whether it be a human being, an object or a habit/activity ...it can quickly become a grave situation of idolatry... graven images included. Idolatry is the most deceptive saint robber right now, so sneaky of the enemy, Please just enjoy but never ‘lord’ over anything or anyone but Yah. Shalom
@2besavedcom-74 жыл бұрын
The "tricky thin line" is NOT tricky when you read the full context of the verse he quoted: Deuteronomy 4:15-19 “Therefore, diligently guard yourselves, for you saw no form when YHWH spoke to you at Horĕb out of the midst of the fire, lest you should do corruptly and shall make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure - the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any beast that is on the earth or the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the heavens, the likeness of any creature that creeps on the ground or the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth; and lest you lift up your eyes to the heavens, and shall see the sun, and the moon, and the stars - all the host of the heavens - and you be drawn away into bowing down to them and serving them, which YHWH your Elohim has allotted to all the peoples under all the heavens.” This verse is NOT about bowing to images as the presenter makes out. It is a CLEAR Command to NOT do corruptly LEST you be drawn into bowing to other things. Very similar to Yahshua's words to not "look at a woman to lust" or "hate another in your heart." You may not have committed physical adultery or murder, but spiritually you have and may lead to worse.

Thank you for this teaching. I have a few questions, what about pictures of Yeshua and/or statues of Him or his mother Mary. I have always wondered since He is God, should we be making images of Him? Or is it different because He does have a form we can understand? I know Catholics say they do not worship the statues, so are they ok as long as not worshipped? I remember seeing a giant statue of Yeshua on the cross once at a beautiful Catholic monastery. It was so heartwrenching to see. I was wrecked with love for what Him and the reality of what He did for me. That was a good thing. So I was confused as to whether this statue was inherently wrong or not. Or only if used in the wrong context. Also, there is the picture of Yeshua by Akiane. It seems she was inspired of the Holy Spirit as she was only 8. Some say it is breaking the 2nd commandment and she could have been inspired of the enemy. I would appreicate any sincere thought/conversation on this topic. Thank you

The Commands against MAKING/OWNING graven images is mutually exclusive to the Command against BOWING/WORSHIPING, just as tattoos are a mark of disobedience whether they are applied for the dead or not! “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Yeshua defeated death, he resurrected why keep the cross? He did not stayed on the cross, look at what they have inside churches a weak messiah. Cross means death and punishment, He paid the prize. It has no power over Yeshua and to us. People have the tendency to worship it just like in the Old testament on the bronze serpent made by Moses instead of worship God they worship the image. We were brainwashed about the cross on movies and beliefs on its power. It has No power.

Actually the Hebrew reads "בארץ" (ba'aretz) with the prefix to eretz (earth) being beit which can mean anything from in, on, or by. rendering it as "in" is just poor translation and even the KJV translates the text as "on." The Septuagint reads "ἐπί" (epi) meaning "upon, on" whereas for the following verse (Heb במים - in the waters) the Septuagint uses "ἐν" (en) meaning "in" the waters.

Please do a Bible Study in this word “Body” of Moses What about the Body of Moses???. Context: Judgment on False Teachers "Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves." Jud 1:8-10 Body - G4983 (Strong) σῶμα sōma so'-mah From G4982; the body (as a sound -whole), used in a very wide application, literally or figuratively: - bodily, body, slave. Body as in the “words of Moses” As in Sound A sound that - G4982 (Strong) σώζω sōzō sode'-zo From a primary word σῶς sōs̄ (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos, “safe”); to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): - heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole. The sound/words of moses that saves, delivers, protects, heals, preserves, makes whole. Now look up the word contending. Michael the Archanglel (separating himself from Satan) Over the words of Moses, did not bring a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. This is Michael going to war with Satan Daniel 12 This verse in Jude has nothing to do with a ‘dead body’. You are make unclean from touching a dead body. And it is defined as sound. This verse is speaking about the context of this chapter - Judgment on False Preachers for saying the Books of Moses were done away with, and that is the dispute over the Words of Moses given to Us by the Creator. Satan has convinced the world they have been put away. Pay close attention of the timing of this Dispute - When you are having your feasts of charity (christmas) The end is now

Thus they weren’t making it for themselves or on their own accord. Those examples don’t prove that God is okay w us making images or idols of things on earth Heaven or in the sea just because we want to. (For ourselves)

God commanded the design and building of the two cherubim on the ark, however, this does give us license to go against his second commandment; that we are commanded NOT to commit any graven image or any likeness of anything IN Heaven, in the earth beneath or under the earth's waters. This is my belief: any artist's rendering depicting any graven image of Jesus (at the well, or sitting with little children, etc) is still breaking the commandment, no matter how pretty the picture is. The same of some of the most beautiful statutes in the world depicting Jesus or angels, is another form of breaking God's second commandment. Even our beloved nativity scenes of the Christ child is the breaking of God's commandment. The reason I say this is because if we hold these statues or paintings with reverence in our hearts, then we are taking that reverence away from God. We may or may not stand before these items and pray to them for God to listen to us but the very fact, that we are tied to these things, tells us we are disobeying God and not giving him full reverence. He expects us to hold and remember him in our heart. God's second commandment holds true also to having graven images or any likeness of satan (think Halloween) or animal, bird, etc. and giving them reverence or admiration as a god. It was a hard thing for me to remove and destroy the many pictures I had of Jesus on the walls in my home as well as the many nativity scenes I had collected for Christmas displays and some in permanent locations around the house. It felt almost irreverent to do so and the Adam within me remembered their great value dollar-wise. Beautiful Lenox and Waterford pieces I had collected, even oil paintings. I really enjoyed these all and actually felt that I was showing God that I did not want him in my life by destroying these pictures and statues, but once I had an understanding of the second commandment, I understood the urgency of it letting it all go. I made the decision NOT to give them away, to my family or strangers because I did not want to burden them with the disobedience of breaking the second commandment; I also did not want to be held responsible to God for corrupting them. To truly understand this commandment and go against it, is a great weight to live with. I have enough burden of trying to keep God's other commandments, that this one has now become an easy one to obey. May the Holy Spirit be with us and bless us.

There is an online ministry which teaches that having portraits, paintings, stuffed animals, etc. are in violation of the second commandment. I am seeking the truth on this matter. They also believe that the Melchezidek priesthood nullifies the wearing of Tzit Tzit, etc. More information is needed than what is contained in this short video. I need more than opinions on either side of the argument. The people later started worshipping that bronze serpent. So, perhaps it was an idol or a graven image which Yah had forbidden and he was testing them when He required Moses to make it? This seems contradictory. Those who promote no images of ANY kind have seeming convincing arguments. Again, your arguments seem convincing. This is the problem with opinions, everyone has one, even if it is an opinion about the commandments within Torah. And, if you disagree with a certain group, they begin to ostracize you for not agreeing. Or, they perceive you as less spiritual than them. This results in division and splinters much like main-stream Christianity from which many of us left previously.

We don't expect everyone to agree with us; we are all on our own walk and we aren't all going to be in the same place at the same time. It's ok to disagree, but it is not ok to argue, ostracize or divide over a nonsalvational topic. Blessings to you and yours

But you do worship creation if you worship jesus as God. Remember idolatry isn't just the making and worship of earthly materials it is the worship of anything other thanthe CREATOR YAHOVAH. If it is complete context you are searching for then the complete context of Ex 20:4 includes the first commandment: Exo 20:2 I am YAHOVAH thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. This includes man being equated with God or worshiping man as God or as the image of God who is unseen. Jesus is the other god. We/Israel are not to seek another god by any other name and claim that he/it represents YAHOVAH on earth or in heaven. YAHOVAH is the One Who Exists who created our existance. No man can claim this title or be equated with this title. It is idolatry.

@@davidrodgers4926 Good point. God's image that we are to look to is his character, what He does and says and not what He looks like. Nope , you shall not make ( for yourself ) any graven images of any kind ....in other words you shall not make ( on your own ) any graven images of any kind , actually for devotional purpose , for this reason Moses was ( commanded ) by Elohim to make cherubs or a fiery serpent ( it wasn't just his own idea to go ahead and make ) , moreover even making an image of a public figure politically also falls in the second commandment it is forbidden , that's why Israelites did not make a statue of anyone be it Moses , Aaron , David , Solomon and so on...
@georgenassif57775 ай бұрын
This is a weak argument. The bronze serpent wasn't for God it was for the people to be healed (therefore they made it for themselves and Moses made the image himself). Additionally, the images and carvings in the temple aren't for God as God wouldn't need such things. The images in the temple were visual representations for people to behold with their eyes and make own their own as God instructed. It doesn't say you shall not make images on your own as well. Respectfully, under your logic just being on KZbin or having anything that displays/creates images of earthly or heavenly things are sinful.
