Why are we using CE instead of AD especially with a Christian based youtube channel?

Hi, Theology Academy, in Christ Jesus. Why is the title on this video asking: “Why was Jesus TEMPTED in the DESERT?”, when this video is not speaking about this question? Thanks from Iceland, Magnús Ragnar (Maggi Raggi), in Christ Jesus.

Have you read the minutes of the council of chalcedon As translated by richard price? You should read those minutes if you haven't.Because you might need to remake this video.

Ok… I am too juvenile (perhaps I should say ‘Juvenal’ eh eh lol) in my faith to actually know what’s going on here. I don’t remember or understand all the heresies, including Nestorian, nor understand the necessary language used in each proper or heretical explanation of the trinity. You have wholly emasculated my christological knowledge. I have been kowed to your faithical supremacy. I shall not let this slide… It will not be forgiven. I will go, I will seek, I will read the fathers and history, I shall return to redeem myself by listening and properly understanding all that you’ve so thoughtfully laid out for us complete with pretty decent ai animation nonetheless.

Paul already saw where it was headed before his death and was concerned. In the end the universal church fought to keep heretical teachings out but instead of sticking to the precepts in the Written account over hundreds of years politics slowly took their toll. “Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves” turned into be wise as serpents and dangerous as serpents simply from a slow political hijacking. Of course I’m jumping forward a few hundred years from the topic of this upload. They just kept adding and adding to the faith. And how many times in scripture was that condemned? SMH everything we touch even the most beautiful Way..man teaches and what he teaches turns rotten. Overcome evil with good….lets have arguing political parties meet and discuss what goodness really means. Oh boy, truly The Lord Jesus Christ is long suffering and full of mercy…..Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

The councils, in the end, just gave us a paradoxical Jesus, who is 100% God and 100% man. Never mind that in practicality that can't work, nor is it described in the Bible. The same person cannot have limited human knowledge, and at the same time be omniscient, right? How does that work? Plus, Scripture makes it clear that Jesus did miracles, not by his own power, but by the Holy Spirit, who came upon him at his baptism. As it says in Acts 10:38, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him." You see it was not his own divine attributes at work here. Those were left behind in the Kenosis, of Phil. 2, when he "emptied himself..." But Jesus was indeed 100% God in his spiritual identity, which never changed when the Word became flesh. Amen? One has to wonder how eagerly they wanted Mary, Jesus' mother, to be called, "the Mother of God," by making sure Jesus had all of his own attributes of deity.

What you and most Christians don't realize is that the sacrifice of Jesus started in heaven..."and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us John 1. In order to become flesh, the Word had to be empty of all of the glory of God. This why Jesus said that the Father was greater than He. In the garden (John 17:1-5) Jesus knew the ending was near. He asked to have His glory back as it was "before the world began".The cross was the ending of the sacrifice when Jesus said "it is finished ( John 19: 30). There's no paradoxy here. Jesus was both God and man. Therefore, it is correct that the Blessed Virgin Mary is the Theotokos.

@@richardounjian9270 I agreed with what you wrote that his sacrifice started in heaven. True enough. But my question to you will have to be in what way was he 100% God? On earth, did he have all attributes of deity?

@Mike65809 I already stated in my first comments that on Earth Jesus had emptied Himself of His Godly glory. Jesus was stuck in a mortal body. Once He rose His glorified body could do things that we can't do, yet. When Jesus ascended He sat at the right hand of the Father and regained His Godly glory.

@@richardounjian9270 Okay then. But the council of Ephesus was troubled by a huge debate on whether or not Jesus had all attributes of deity. The reason is because that would be necessary (in their minds) in order for Mary to be called the Mother of God. She still is in the sense of being Mother of Jesus, the Word in identity, but to call her the Mother of God is horrendous.
