My Pluto, ascending lunar node, mercury, and sun are all in my second house of Scorpio. I work as a ‘dancer’ (the spicy variety) two nights a week to fund my self-education as a portrait/pop-surrealism painter. Hopefully having so much activity in my second house bodes well for the future? 😅 not many artists reach financial security, but I’ve been stubbornly determined to get there eventually. I’ve always been optimistic regarding finances even though the odds are against me, and my family was very poor when I was a child.

It seems you missed giving a delineation for the ruler of the 2nd in the 1st house, and the ruler of the 2nd in the 2nd house - and instead started with ruler of the 2nd in the 3rd. Not a huge complaint as you've done a stellar job, particularly with brain fog etc, but was looking forward to hearing those as one of them is my own combo which I struggle to understand or find much info on!

I don't have time right now to watch the video again, but among the charts cited, there are examples of those that you mentioned, just not under the heading, "the ruler of the second in the first". I am nearly 100% that C mentioned the ruler of the 2nd in the first. Try the Egyptian King bit and then he repeats it later

Super interesting episode! I don't have any natal placements in my second house (Gemini), but its ruling planet (Mercury) falls retrograde in my 7th house (Scorpio), and is directly opposing my moon in my 1st house (Taurus). Various unexpected life events have led to me never being able to gain financial independence. I was dependent on my parents for the first half of my life and am now dependent on my partner. This has always been a very frustrating experience for me as a Taurus rising and moon. Money has always been a major source of frustration for me, as I don't have any real control over how it comes to me and how it is ultimately used. In all other aspects of my life, I am fiercely independent.

I have Pluto and mars in my 2H Libra and I’ve always been very confident that I would be able to make money and generally have never worried much about it. I come from a middle class family but by no means were we well off growing up.

same, but I have pluto and mars in the 2H in scorpio. Rather than being confident about making money I've always been sure that I could be happy even if I didn't make much. I've never cared about becoming rich. Even though mars in the 2H is linked to spending a lot, I've never liked to waste money in useless things, and I'm somewhat frugal. I tend to buy few things, only what I really need, but good quality so they last longer. Might be because mars is closely trining my saturn in pisces in the 6H.

I have a friend with venus (chart ruler), mercury and jupiter all in 2nd house scorpio. Money doesn't appear to be a major factor in her life so far. But she is polyamorous and a lot of her experience with that is how it questions the idea of how much she owns other people's time, consent (ownership of your own vs someone else's body), and how much of a claim you have to another person. Also how that should effect your self worth and how to do things like buy a house in a polyamorous relationship. Not what I would have guessed those placements would be referring to but super interesting.

Phenomenal episode! My chart and 12th house ruler (Saturn) is in the 2nd , as well as the Moon. I've experienced financial deception from employers time and time again, with Saturn squaring my MC and Jupiter (ruler of the 2nd, 11th, and MC). Currently going through my 2nd house Saturn return and the timing of this episode feels perfect with the eclipse!

This one inadvertently helped figure out a problem I was having. I don’t know if I want to go over explaining it.. “If the 12th is this, what’s that?” 2nd. I thought maybe the 6th. In a system perspective you’d think about how neuroscience says if we went back in time we’d struggle to understand ancient people as they were wired differently; much more visual and imaginal. Many are studying synesthesia thinking it’s a “natural state” we unlearn. In the system perspective it’s more what we call the Jungian collective and individual unconscious had its volume cranked up, what we call consciousness was turned way down. The perspective of Kali Yuga was that this was shifting the other way around. So you see ancient cultures experiencing less of the imaginal and more of the material then suddenly documenting what we’d call arhiman, the demiurge, Hades, etc. different perspectives. “If you take this and look at that, you get the gate of hades so it’s actually that house” though, it’s more the entire lower section. But you get the house of the goddess and myths of hades and even the demiurge with, say, Sophia. Good fortune, bad fortune.. it’s mixed, but it kinda makes more sense if ancient people had a very negative view of the 2nd house. Though, today, not so much. The idea is that when we incarnate we are flanked by 2 opposing forces we try to hold at a balance; it actually makes sense it’s bad daimon and hades (whichever name you want to use). The perspective of good daimon being sextile and not flanking is, say, the good daimon cant directly intervene but can assist if a person has made a decision. However, those flanking can. That’s just a perspective. There’s a lot said about the origin of astrology was that period of people having very vivid imaginal experiences as opposed to logical and empirical but gradually moved towards it. Planets having a “taste” and so on. I thought it was an interesting perspective and an interesting way of looking at how attitudes towards the 2nd house could change if people viewed the material world being ruled by, say, what we call the devil today. The world falling into evil and darkness 😂, it just meaning we lose touch with those archetypes as a conscious experience. I have a stacked 2nd house. Today it’s more.. (in this perspective).. I’ll just leave that out but it’s balancing those influences. Enjoy your holidays. I’ve had unusual sinus congestion since the whole Covid outbreak so I can sympathize.

I am so frustrated with my 2nd house, I have a huge stellium in it and no typical astrological interpretation I have found ever applies. I have positive and negative planets in it. I'm not very materialistic and I don't have a lot of wealth. I'm indifferent to money but I'm good with it. In fact, the second house is my least favorite house!!! I always feel my stellium does not apply to the typical symbols, like money, that the 2nd house implies. I wish you had gotten more into the self-worth interpretation of the 2nd house, as that has always resonated more with me. My stellium is in Libra (in order): Mercury (Ruler of my Asc.), Saturn, Jupiter, Vesta, Venus, and Pluto.

I understand where you're coming from, I have Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto all in Libra in 2nd house plus Saturn in Libra in 1st house. Sometimes I have money, sometimes I don't. It comes, it goes and I like spending it on making people happy. There is no obsession there with it. Self worth has been a big theme and my values too, constantly being reworked, destroyed and rebuilt on true solid foundations. A key point to know would be your age also and Saturn placement because with me, as my self worth has grown so too have my opportunities, inspiration and ideas to make money.
