If you are going to stockpile ore, you might as well do it at the factory and use a conveyor to feed the production.

Love this series! Silverrun forest is a great map. To fix the shader issue, go into the FarmingSimulator2022 in the My Games directory. Without going into the saves at all, there should be a folder called 'shader_cashe'. This deletes all shader problems, resetting it to make it better!

23:50 I would just transfer 12 sheep from the existing enclosure to the new one, and then come back a day or 2 later (after a couple of rests) and see them breeding... free sheep and you wont get wool right away from the babies but you wouldnt if you bought young sheep either.

Should do a series with modern classics (1970-2000 ish) machinery Would Also be cool to see a series where you had 2 or 3 youtubers playing on the same map but with their own farms, and their own lets Plays. Would make it interesting to see them interact with the neighbours now and then

0:40 You can easilly seee if you have something in storage by looking at the required numbers and see if they decrease. You just can't see how much of each item you have, so you just have to keep checking to see if the required ammounts keeep decreasing. Or do like I did and produce plenty of everything and just keep it topped up, it don't matter if you give it too much since you got paid for it so it would be just like selling to any other sellpoint. 6:20 Instead of more sheep you could go for the open air greenhouse mod, they only cost 2000 to buy and can produce cotton (and lots of other crops). The mod also comes with a distributer silo that let you have 1 fillpoint for water, seed, manure and fertilizer and works with any production building that need those things. 11:25 If you're gonna make a pile of ore somewhere you should put it where you parked the flatbed trailer and run a conveyor belt directly into the iron furnace. That short distance you'd only need a pick up and end piece wich is pretty easy to setup. Or you could get the auto load mod, then you'd only need a end piece.

Healthy/Responsible Loan Usage Ideally, one should take out loans to cover capital investment, and long-term asset procurement. They should be paid back as an operational expenditure. This is a perfectly sustainable, and healthy way to manage loans. Loans are only bad when they are used to subsidise operational costs, or hiring of temporary assets, and are paid back through selling capital. This is unhealthy, and irresponsible. It's been nice to see the loans used more in this series. But I still see the mental blocks. Even in this episode. You don't need to pay them back immediately, or as soon as possible. That rolling interest payment is like having a worker on hand; it's better to remain solvent, and keep yourself in the black, than it is to pay back as much as possible, as soon as possible. Otherwise you'll just be chasing after the loan until it's zeroed, and it will become a ball and chain, rather than a tool within your arsenal. Every time you could take out a loan, you'll be weighing it up against the sprint to pay it back. This is an unhealthy way to think of loan management. It's an operational expenditure, rather than a debt. Think of it as a tax on capital investment, rather than a lump-sum that needs to be paid back NOW. You can seriously hurt your short-term, and mid-term gameplay by focussing too heavily on loan repayments. Leave yourself with enough petty cash to play with, and worry about the loans when the paydirt rolls back in. The standard phrase is "Speculate to Accumulate". The interest on even a pretty high loan, is around the same cost as hiring a worker. So, to get over the mental blockage with loans, clearing a field with a worker, so you can drive the trailer is a regular, standard, every day thing that you don't spend any time worrying about at all. But, getting a $100,000 loan to cover capital investment for a new rig that will net you a profit almost immediately, is a blockage... even though both activities cost pretty much the same, but there is no other benefit to hiring a worker... no long-term ROI. Capital investment loans will always achieve an ROI, so paying a few hundred in interest costs, so that you can skip the stepping stone machinery, and get something that you won't be fighting against in a few episodes time is always worth it. Especially when you're happy to effectively waste money on workers when harvesting every field you sow.

Well thought and well said. Std business practice. Use whatever resources return the most. Otherwise what's the point?
@ApacheGamingUK
@ApacheGamingUK Жыл бұрын
@@rawspeed1678 Yeah. I mean, obviously there's the glaring point that this is a KZbin Let's Play, and not an actual business venture. Even in my own series, we play games very differently on camera, than we would do on our own. Not wanting to progress too far, too fast, and wanting to showcase early-game, mid-game, and late-game. But I feel, with a lot of these playthroughs, there is an explicit hatred/mistrust/dislike of the loan system in the game. Like when this yellow truck was bought. It was that episode I started writing in the comments about the loans. Going for the inferior option, which has been a struggle ever since, just because the balance on screen was too low... not even entertaining the idea of a loan at all, to be able to buy the better truck there and then. That 750hp truck would have paid for itself multiple times over by now... both in in-game money, and real-world revenue, because it would have made the game more streamline to play, and record, and would have meant timelapses were faster, and easier to produce. I can understand if there's a specific house-rule that says, "I will never take out a loan"; as a challenge mode, or similar. But, if you're playing with loans enabled, then you don't get to say "Oh, we don't have enough money for this profitable, viable, and essential capital investment... so we'll go with the crap option instead, and we'll just have to live with it, and replace it, eventually". Because, of course, inevitably, it never gets replaced because it's seen as a waste to get rid of something that has depreciated so much. There's a negative ROI. So, the struggle goes on with the 1mph hill climbs throughout every series. All because of a distrust/dislike of loans. Whenever I hear, "We can't afford this", the only response is "Yes. Yes, you can. Stop wasting time and money, and get a loan!". Each to their own, of course. I only really know this game through Daggerwin's eyes. But, it's a common trope I see with his series; and with other KZbinrs within tycoon/manager/simulator games. Very few people I've seen will ever use the loan system as it's meant to be used. It's always that one part of the game that either gets forgotten, or discarded from thought. It's such a shame. CapEx and OpEx is such an interesting, and enlightening way to see, and play these games.

I should also say that I do love these series, and they are an inspiration to me, as a creator, as a gamer, and as a viewer. I live right on the cusp between an urban area, and rural. So we see agricultural vehicles up and down the roads a fair amount, but it's still a novelty, rather than being every-day. I'm even now able to name the make and model of a lot of the machinery that we pass as I'm driving, let alone what it's used for. :) And we've just started using Sorghum Flour for baking, and I was able to go back over some of what has been said in different series here. So, obviously some of it is sticking. :)
