Cruel Fact: if you fail in 2WRW, shukshin becomes so stressed he has a heart faliure and dies, and hes replaced with Pokryshkin, which destroys the democracy of the federation, also, moskowien gains all of european russia and becomes Reichskommisariat Rußland, and after some time a event appears called "German Victory" which is more scary than the "MAD" event, also, a new focus tree appears, which will lead to the federation's collapse, after you finish the focus tree, the federation fully collapses and the remains of the federation become the "Siberian Corporatocracy" ruled by "Megacorporation Troika" which will control novosibirsk with an iron fist.

It's interesting how much land the Germans lose so quickly at the beginning. I guess the Germans were probably quite demoralised, given that they'd mostly be disillusioned with nazism at this point after the civil war, which would have very much been in close memory, as well as the fact that the Nazi regime would definitely not be as powerful as it once was, (keep in mind in our timeline that Germany during ww2 wasn't very powerful, they simply relied on quick victories. Where they didn't get quick victories (Britain and Russia), they lost hard), combined with a huge frontline, even then they lose the caucasus area very quickly, which would probably be vital for their oil supply, I thought it would be better defended.
