Please don't demolish! 🙏 Without traces of those who eked a living on this bleak land, from derelict schoolhouses to homesteads, how will we honour their efforts, or get the feel of living in the wind, blizzards, drought, while raising five children and doggedly going on. It's heartbreaking to think of, as we have so little tangible evidence left of our history to begin with. This video was beautifully and sensitively shot and the interview so poignant, with this rugged, humble man (who looks a weathered sixty-five at most) an example of that stoic, uncomplaining prairie resilience. It would be worth a lot to his future generations to visit it, as a sort of shrine to the past. Thanks so much!
