I come from the film days and even worked in photography for a little while back in those days. I've had my share of mirrorless (Sony) and Canon DSLRs. I find the 6D to be a kick-ass and very capable camera. It's a low-light/high-ISO beast. It has some nice color science. Coming from the old days when focus and recompose was standard processes and needing to have figured out the image before you started shooting, it's not hard to really buzz along with the 6D. Good glass and a bit of skill and you can create great images if you develop your eye. With the 6D you get better weather sealing and a tough camera that will keep going when your plastic Rebel had cracked. Rebels are nice little cameras, but you get so much more with a mid-high level older body. I had a Sony A7RII after wanting one for so long. After a little use and realizing what a batter hog it was, I traded it off and picked up a Canon 80D. That's my "fancy" video-capable camera. (I'm not a film maker). I did keep my little Sony A5000 and added an A5100 (they are too cute and too capable). I have an EOS to E-Mount adapter so I can use all my Canon glass with them. Long way of saying that for me, the Canon 6D is a keeper and still capable of making professional images.

Glad to see another Martin follower 😉. Older cameras are still te best imo, don't like the super digital stuff. I also shoot with the 6D and 5D classic, don't feel the need to upgrade to a 5D mark IV. If you like the 6D maybe also try these ones: Fujifilm X-Pro1, Fujifilm S5 Pro, Nikon D200. I own them all and the D200 is my favorite camera ever. Even beats the 6D for its files. Can be bought all day long for very little money and the files are just ❤️.
Interesting topic, but you need to increase the volume. I've turned it all the way up and I can barely hear you.

I feel 6d is more suitable for portraits. It renders beautiful skin tones and is really great with people and colors. Not my choice for landscapes. I would go more towards Nikon D800. A bit more detail and larger capacity for cropping for couple of hundred dollars more.

@@Wyattmas D700 has beautiful rendering. I would look into d610. Really good camera. Double the megapixels. Keep doing the great work on your chanel.
