The Secret Canal Salford

How to find the secret canal in Salford first find Langley Road, Then turn onto Park House Bridge Road drive to end of road the entrance is on your right hand side has you reach the top of the road

I can remember walking along the Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal in the mid 70s. I've still got some photographs somewhere.

I used to fish that stretch in the early 70's!

I videoed this section of the canal up to Clifton Aqueduct in 2008. The towpath is a lot clearer now than it was back then. There's also a lot less tyres dumped at the bottom of Parkhouse Bridge

The canal i remember as a child living on Aukland St off Whit Lane was at the top of the street where Thoms Castile soap works were located the street is still there with the steps up to the canal i wonder, is this the canal in the video.

15joewilliams its full of fish this is just a tiny bit of the canal in the bit you see here there's perch, roach pike, i will post a video of the canal just past may fair kennels, that stretch has all of the above plus tench and bream

Yes it is MBBCanalSociety but use Salford lads have nick named this part of the canal The Secret Canal
