That's why once the victims family can't pay the ransom they end up killing them and parts cut off. Even some cannibals cook the remaining parts. I once saw a video of a police raid of a community in one of the Eastern states as seen on channels KZbin page where kidnappers took over a whole village and they cut off their parts once their family can't pay up ransome. It's a very deep trade that even government can't interfere at all. The Chinese government can't even stop it because they need kidneys for some of their dying billionaires ready to pay anything. If surviving family members in "developed" countries could receive benefits from organ donation then there would greater supply of organs, and less of a need for illegal organ harvesting. People talk about reuse and recycle for just about everything else. But, I guess the worry is that people will then be killed by their families for their organs. The Ekweremadu situation is a tricky one and I would understand a father doing anything possible to save his daughter. That being said, he was convicted under the UK’s Modern Slavery Act. Section 2 of the Act states that “a person commits an offence if the person arranges or facilitates the travel of another person (“V”) with a view to V being exploited”. To the UK authorities, it was more a matter of conspiracy to bring the victim to London, to exploit him for his kidney. The age is irrelevant.
