The Chinese Version of the SKS was the Type 56. Type 56 has 2 variants (if you call them variants), they are the Type 56 semi (SKS) and the Type 56 Assult (AK). Different guns but named the same. The Type 63 was a mix of both. It has the SKS look but with an AK-styled gas operated bolt. Means it could do full auto. Western world discovered this "full auto SKS" during the vietnam war. They called them as Type 68 at the beginning. The Type 63 in BOCW didn't come with the full auto option. Probably because of balancing. The type 63 in real life was also a disaster because of poor build quality during the cultural revolution in China. After that, the Chinese gave up the idea about making the SKS full auto. They went back on modifing the AK. Which was the Type 81. However that's another story.
