For MM boss what i always do is lure it away from the gnomes, get at least 1 damage on it, then lure it back to the gnomes for them to finish while still hitting it. U dont actually have to get the last damage on it, just as long as you got some damage on it. The way the quest was designed was for you to fight it with the gnomes the whole time so it makes sense that you dont specifically have to get the last hit

Really enjoying the series as always. I think an interesting idea for the rewards for winning each episode could be to have the winner get extra time in the final episode, e.g., In the final episode you each get 2 hours plus 15 minutes per episode you won in the series. That would make winning each episode even more significant towards winning the series without having it snowball you.

Loving the series so far, the randomiser seems to gives a bit more of that end game content that a lot of the start from scratch series’ have been missing. Is it possible to have the randomiser only do tradable items only? And maybe even remove weapon/armour items under t40/50 towards the latter part of the series? Feel like this could narrow down on and clear out some of the dead content items. Things like imbue rings/quest items then you still have the option to earn and upgrade during the episode. I feel blighted items doesn’t allow enough gameplay variety either, maybe should be useable for the episodes but not the final fights. At least grubby key has a level requirement but even that is arguably overpowered once you get the level and can just constantly reuse.

rargh you absolutely need to focus on spins next episode, ring amulet and shield. Use some of the exp for herblore aswell for a combat potion like link, that changes ALOT of the outcome of the fight. Id also use the 100k exp for recoils, its 40 damage, better than a b ring (i) in a fight for outlasting. the herblore for pots and the recoils is wayyyyy better than dragon platelegs upgrade, dont dump the 100k in defence lol

The other option is dumping it all into strength and rushing ddef. That also gives you combat potions without wasting xp on herblore, on top of seven free clog slots. He will still want the crafting xp eventually, but herblore might genuinely be a punt.

@@Frommerman but their fights arent about dps but outlast, having an obby shield for example is just better than d def at 60 def for outlasting. And getting the level to make a combat potion only takes like 30k ish exp and saves 2 inventory slots of food.

Note for the Rev kill at 8:50 : If the revenant is doing the regen animation while you kill it, it doesn't drop anything. I had to learn that while I was doing new content on my HCIM and it sucks.

That was such a close fight! To be honest Links fury and combat pot pretty much make up for not having the d scim, he was almost as accurate. Rargh needs some more offense with his d scim next episode to carry on winning, either in the form of an ammy, combat pot or preferably both.

I feel like being able to use blighted stuff has potential to make things more boring, same problem as grubby keys. wipes out incentive to do herb and forces you guys to both farm a ton if you want to keep up on food Love the series though, keep it up!

I was coming down here to say the same thing. Blighted food is the new grubby keys, obviously they can't change it this series but I'd like to see a longer series in the future where all these meta things are banned and even the brimhaven shop as that is also very overused. Still I know it's hard for them to balance things like this.

Totally agree. The man spins weapon when there are only half a dozen good rolls (Already has an addy sword with spin cap 40) out of hundreds. Then he goes to necklace AFTER getting the gnome necklace and half the necklace rolls are no longer upgrades while he is still rocking iron shield. I am team Rargh, but Link has been massively more intelligent with when to spin where even with his blessed rng. Link has made his own luck to a degree.

I love the long term challenges! I'd love to see a race to skillcape from a new account if you guys would wanna commit to a long one. First one to 99, buy the cape and win the final fight wins the season. Can't win unless you have a 99 and cape, you'd just postpone the final fight 1 more episode. Normal progression like in this one, the winner of the fight at the end of the episode can lock any progression of a skill of the loser for the next episode. Thanks for the entertainment fellas!

Love the idea for the series, I think you guys should increase the xp rewards a good bit though to make spins more impactful and advance to tier 70 quicker. At your current rates it will be several episodes before someone hits 70 att or def.

Not sure how the slot rolled is coded, but doing it for-fun would kind of directly affect your future rolls, right? Or is it coded to roll fresh each time? Ex, you won't have to deal with the steel crossbow on the "real" next roll, but would also lose out on a whip or such if that's what had been rolled. Thoughts?

It should only affect future rolls if they never close and restart it, but you're right that if they did "for fun" rolls right before "real" rolls, it should change the outcome. At the same time, it's all kinda pointless to think about, because it's basically still just as random to them. You have no real way to know if the effect is good or bad, and you have to call if it's real beforehand anyway

or at the very least they need to remove quest items from the list... Quest items that you just.. guarentee get from the quests are kind of bogus to be on spins. Salve amulet and ring of shadows too. adds nothing but frustration to the episode and i want to see these spins actually like... have a chance at making the episode more engaging and spicy. otherwise its just a standard progression ironman fight series where spins dont matter.

@Rargh, the revs didnt drop because as you kill the rev, they heal so it bugged out and doesnt drop anything. Happens to me all the time. I tested it out, idk why jagex dont fix it.

Flicking damage prayers is allowed, but not overheads. They've always done it that way to make sure prayer potions remain useful, and also so there's less of a ping advantage based on which world they are playing on.

If I were you guys I would always sort out food at the beginning of the episode. Food drops are way more predictable than other kinds of drops and it's critical to winning a fight. Just get it out of the way and then focus on whatever else you need to do.
