I have this book and have used it in part to make a SWADE game in which WW2 soldiers are swept off to another planet/dimension similar to Almuric. It worked very well for that, but I was building a bit of a frankenstein's monsters out of bits of this and that and so I was not using it straight out of the box. There is a lot of good stuff in here, but your notes on presentation are valid. If you are very familiar with SWADE and know what you want, this book is great. If you are looking for immediately gameable material, it is less so. Cheers, Jeff, and cheers, Allan. 🙂

Cool stuff. And with a ton of pulp type old radio shows on KZbin or other podcasts, there are lots of adventure and story telling ideas. Thanks.

I could see this being fun. Though the scatter-shot take on tone seems odd. I think if I were more actively into Savage Worlds I'd pick up a copy. But since I haven't played anything related to it since Deadlands 1st Ed, I'll probably skip this.

Also, while I appreciate the review, I would like to point out that the Pulp, Espionage, and Military campaign styles have their own specific sections.

The sections ARE intermixed throughout the book. So you see jumps from pulp to espionage back to pulp and such; It isn't as if the volume is broken into a trio of sections dedicated to each genre - they're scattered throughout.

Oh, there are no AI generated images in my book.

It appeared the Nazi UFO and quite a few images (such as the alien "grey") toward the back of the book were created from a computer program - I didn't say AI generated - and is indicative of the uneveness of the art in the book. ~ Jeff

@ that’s a fair comment. I used software to create a composite image for the UFO and I believe Sara’s preferred method for creating art is digital.

That comic art is awful and all the different fonts and much of the presentation of this book makes my eyes hurt. There were some pages which looked like there were four fonts or more on a single page. Maybe the contents are good but what a really ugly book.
