As a kid, one of my favorite things was to come home on the school bus when Dad had let the cattle out to pasture in spring...instead of being dirty & dingey their hides were clean & bright, and they had grass stains on their knees. And after a few days out on pasture, I'd come home on the bus to see a perfectly straight line across the bottom of the trees in the shelter belt, because the cattle had eaten all the leaves & small branches they could reach.

Yep, you can tell who runs cattle around here without even seeing a cow.

Most animals like a variety to eat .Your sheep and goats look good to me. Making a goat/sheep tight pen is not always easy....they always seem to find a hole....

Even after building the new fence, the young goats are still finding places in the old pen to get out. It never ends.

It makes me so sad seeing your sheep and goats on bare dirt instead of on grass. 😢 Glad they are being given branches upon which to browse.

@@BonnieBlue2A I take them out an hour and a half to 2 hours every night. Working little by little to get proper fencing in so they can rotational graze.
