This is the first step on our way to the secret of how to repair the Talking Barbie and it's very important for a good result later .All the rest of the dissolved rubberband has to go. If we don't do it propperly the stuff will follow us under our fingernails and other places where we don't want it. It's important to do it well and thoroughly. Clean the body a second or a third time when you think there are rests left. Use cotton balls if Q-Tips are not helpful anymore. This is the dirtiest of all tasks. So take your time. There's no rush. May i know how you open the body to get the parts out? I have a barbie doll and i want to switch her arms only. So i hope to open the body without damaging.

What kind of Barbie doll do you want to change the arms on? For Talking Barbie dolls you don't need to open the body to change the arms. You need WD6 and a bowl with hot water. Superstar Barbie arms are harder to change because the attachment is different. It's a bit tricky but not impossible.

@@BusyBfromGermany i see. Is a Mattel barbie doll. 5 point jointed. I tried just now to open the body, and is hard, but it do have some progreaa with a knife to cut the edge slowly.

Cut the old one and replace it with a new one. You already have the measurements when you don't throw the old one away immediately.
