Jerry Weintraib wanted to be Elvis Presley’s concert promoter back in the early 70’s. Jerry telephoned Colonel Parker to tell him he want to take his boy around the country so after my rebuffs the Colonel told him to meet him in Las Vegas with one million dollars in cash. Jerry struggled to raise the cash from family and friends, he managed to get the funds together eventually all down to one telephone call from a mystery man. Jerry struck a deal with the man and flew to Vegas with the money. The money came from Danny Kaye. Jerry Weintraub made both himself and Danny extremely wealthy through that deal. Danny Kaye was an extraordinary individual.
