1:23: 33 - If I may, R' Yosef, Yehia Adahan was a tzaddik, he was a relative of the Baba Sali :). You meant to say Yehia Adahan street, yes? The Moroccans pronounce the last name Deehan. Hope this helps. Shalom!

Most gerim I know are less frum than Meah Shearim People, so i guess meah shearim people are not allowed to make Pesach themselves.
@pardes73424 жыл бұрын
I think you got that wrong. The Rabbi is saying that when ALL gerim congregate or gather together to have pesach just by themselves WITHOUT a born JEW==not Allowed. Mea Sherim is not all converts. Mostly, I presume are predominately born Jews which are allowed to gather to make PESACH by themselves. Do you understand now the difference? I hope this clears it.
@torahonly15714 жыл бұрын
@@pardes7342 the question I asked was based on the reason the rav gave, why isn't that allowed? "Because gerim are too frum", well if that is so then why most of geirim are less frum than Meah Shearim people and still would not be allowed to do Pesach on their own? But meah shearim people would? Get the question?
@pardes73424 жыл бұрын
@@torahonly1571 Mea Sherim are not converts. Less frum or very frum Converts can not be by themselves to celebrate any chag because there is a tendency that they will form their own minhag which is foreign to Authentic Judaism. There is a danger that their over zealousness can become a different Judaism that is why a born Jew needs to be around them to stop such an incident. This explanation I heard from the same rabbi in an older lecture.
