Thanks a lot @Wowslegendsfan! I had a lot of fun building it. In the center is the Scary Pirate Island (40597). I surrounded it with a small island and added a lot of coins from the 80ies/90ies 🙂.

That was so cool! I've seen full length movies with fewer twists and turns. Great soundtrack and lots of wonderful details like the bullet splashes. Loved the "for the king" and "for me" piles of gold. The use of the two different monkeys early on was fun. Wonderful work!
@IronhookFilms24 күн бұрын
@flitterbat, thanks a lot for your comment! ☺️ I am super happy that you liked all these details. The money piles are a small reference to the comic book „Asterix in Switzerland“. The governor there has similar tax paying habits as Broadside. As Broadside is french in my movie, I felt that a small reference to a classic french comic is very fitting😃.

Great video! The music as great, I've not seen a lot of Lego pirate stop motion videos use sea shanties. I also loved the inclusion of the original Eldorado Fortress with the new version.
@IronhookFilmsАй бұрын
@swampy5222 Thanks a lot! I am very happy to hear that. The titles of two sea shanties also match to the part of the movie they are in: The first shanty is "Spanish Ladies" and I believe it fits to the Spanish part of the story. When the pirates have to free their colleague, I used "don't forget your old shipmate". Of course the lyrics do not match. But at least the titles do 🙂. I was also very happy that the new Eldorado Fortress is very faithful to the orignal. This allowed me to use them both to show that the fortress would change over time.

Did you make your own ElDorado Fortress design? Love the video! Love the Lego Pirates, Spanish soldiers two
@IronhookFilms19 күн бұрын
@Futuristicbleh, thanks a lot! ☺ In the first half of the movie I use the original Eldorado Fortress (6276) from 1989. In the second half of the movie I use the new one (10320) from 2023. On it's left I placed the Lagoon Lockup (6267) from 1991 and on its right a MOC that is based on the Lego Idea Book 260 from 1990. I feel that the three give a very nice ensemble.

@@Hudsnotyoursproductions Thanks a lot, I am very happy to hear that 🙂. My next video may again play in the Lego Pirates universe (Admiral Woodhouse may eventually make his appearance 😁). But it will take quite some time until then. This movie took most of my spare time in the past 7 months - making Brickfilms is very rewarding but also quite time consuming 😅.

Hey during 4:40 what is the set to the right of the eldorato fortruss
@IronhookFilms23 күн бұрын
@Jsandstuff, in 1990 Lego released the „Ideas Book 260“, which contained alternative builds for all their themes. The little fortress is from there. I did not build it 1:1 because I do not have all the parts needed. www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?B=260#T=S&O=%7B%22iconly%22:0%7D

@IronhookFilms29 күн бұрын
Vielen Dank! Und ja, die Soldatinnen sind klar ahistorisch. Aber ich habe mich daran gewöhnt. Letztendlich sind die Lego Piraten ohnehin eine sehr romantisierte version des 17./18. Jahrhunderts.
