I need to write this down right now. I have being selling door to door for years, I have read many books from very known authors ( Carnegie, Betger, Qubein, Hopkings, Tracy, Kaplan, Mandino, Hill, Gray, etc, etc) from who I have learnt but I have to say, that I am so impressed with your nutshells, sales tips or whatever any one want to call them that from now on, will follow you. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Sound thinking and advice - getting a referral just for making a sale... you got to deliver first, that's the minimum, then do something over and above! Great stuff

If I feel I have done an excellent job with my customers, they usually do refer someone. I am glad you made the point of giving my customers a referral. I love to do that, once I know what they do.

This is Jeffrey Gitomer who authored the #1 sales book in America called The Sales Bible. He was there, I read his book back in 2006. Surely you heard of or maybe even read The Sales Bible?

You can imply at the end of the sale or on your first contact after the sale is over that if they do refer anyone to you that you will reward them with say a $10 gift card at Speedway. Don't directly ask for it, but you can still imply that any referrals given to you are greatly appreciated and are rewarded with ________. Also you can offer extra business cards after the sale as well or ask if they would like extra business cards of yours to give to their friends. Never directly ask for a referral though you have to do it in a round about way.

Ok, first I develop a kick butt service that is well worth bragging about, and then I have earned referrals. Got it. No problem. Most people say they would give a referral if asked, yet most never ask. Got it. Now, if I have a super service, and my customers are dazzled, there is a reality that is still in effect; my life is not their priority. They are not directly linked in to the importance of our success, and they should not be. so... The real question is this: What is the best way to get great customers to provide you with a slow, but regular, stream of stead, unsolicited referrals? I am not so much asking, as thinking through the question. Feel free to add thoughts! What I am wondering is this: What are the best ways to drive unsolicited referrals, because customers will not naturally be thinking how the growth of your company increases their service security, the same way it fosters job security for our workers.

Hey Jeff! I watched your video! Can I have a referral?
@phily80205 жыл бұрын
I dont fully agree with this. Ive learnt with people never make assumptions especially about asking for referrals. You are making a lot of assumptions and causing people to.procrastinate and overthink it. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and ask

how is grant cardone a millionaire then ?
@residentzombie8 жыл бұрын
He sells a lot of books. Grant Cardone's style of selling will work for a few people but not most people. Grant is way too aggressive and the majority of consumers will hang up on him. His style of selling works if most of your clients or prospects are business owners, CEOs, or millionaires. The average Joe would never give Grant the time of day. I wouldn't call Grant a fraud, but he definitely misrepresents many things to make himself look better than he actually is. My advice is don't listen to Grant, he just wants to sell you a book.
@Goudprateek7 жыл бұрын
I work at a company that paid $2000/month for Grant Cardone's online training. We were forced to watch atleast two of his videos per day. At first, I liked Cardone. He was funny and informative. Then as I watched more of his content, I realized he is borderline a con artist and literally bullies people into buying his services. It is sad that people like make alot of $ because I feel like good, decent & honest people can't compete with these hyper-aggressive bullies!
@intynizzle6 жыл бұрын
I made more money out of referrals than any other lead generation approach ever... hands down.... and i use a lot of the selling methods cardone uses.... which i learned before youtube became a thing (before i knew who GC was). One of the people I learned from was making $100k a month door to door. Using the same methods, I managed to make over $30k a month door to door. DJ Migs, pay attention to who gets results, learn from them and ignore the rest. If someone is producing a result you want, they're the ones to be asking for guidance.

If you are a transactional sales person then I agree. You are done with the customer once you have his money. You might as well hang up the phone on the client as soon as you have his or her cheque. If you sell complicated solutions then you will have to earn the referral. Imagine asking the CEO of GM for a referral after you sold him a bag of chips. No value mean no referral.
@intynizzle6 жыл бұрын
yeah... i wouldn't quite say it was crap, but it wasnt 100% on the money. Depending on who you're selling to, and how long term your relationship with that client has to be to get their business, its a good strategy. But that being said, I'd pull 20+ leads on average per person I'd pitch to, and i'd get those leads within an hour and a half of meeting my prospect. I was taught to do that, so it's not as though i was the caveman who discovered how to make fire... he probably should have been a little more direct about telling us the kind of service or product he was selling with this formula, though... he really failed to provide context.
@intynizzle6 жыл бұрын
thats the kind of context thta would have been ultra useful at the start of the video. Thanks for your insights, Michael.
@Fixyourfatigue5 жыл бұрын
I would say this is for people who have an ongoing relationship with the customer. Like for me, I am a personal trainer so my relationship with my client extends beyond our initial meeting. Over time I have to earn the referral by proving I can help them with their fitness and health goals vs just asking for a referral right off the bat.
