Do you know what roses mean in fairy tales? For example, when we read the Brothers Grimm tale “Snow White and Red Rose”, which features two sisters.
Snow White was the more serious and kinder sister. Red Rose was the sister who liked to run through the fields; Snow White preferred to stay at home helping her mother. The two children loved each other very much and when they went out together, they walked hand in hand.
In the tale called “The Rose”, an enchanted boy gives a rose to a child and tells him that, when the rose loses its petals, he will appear again.
In “Beauty and the Beast” we also have an enchanted rose that loses its petals in a magical process.
In the Brothers Grimm version of "Sleeping Beauty", the princess is called BRIAR ROSE and this is the name of the wild rose from which rose oil is made. But what does all this mean?🌹
