Good one, Eric. For me, I think “acknowledging” works better than “allowing” because if something already is, I need to recognize it as it is. Then, accept it as it is. Appreciating can get harder and sometimes I can feel awe but other times awe hell!

Maybe that is 5 then - acknowledging, allowing, accepting, appreciating, and awing. For it is possible to acknowledge something and yet not allowing it to be.

​@@GratefulZen You have to look at your own reasons (i.e. concepts, beliefs, etc.) why you can not or should not acknowledge, allow, accept, appreciate, or awe. The feelings flow from one into the next quite naturally if it was not for your own resistance and denial.

Thank you for sharing this Eric 🙏 the timing of this video is crazy. I had this experience of being in awe today, I was thinking about the times I accept a feeling, such as anger, and the second I allow myself to feel it, it vanishes. At times, I find myself quick to almost feel bothered the feeling of anger dissapears - that perhaps I'm somehow bypassing it. Although theres something about that feeling the moment you truly allow something - however long lasting or brief, it doesnt really matter as really it is beyond time itself. The moment I thought this I went to that place, and I was just looking at my hands and the room around me - in awe of this. This may be slightly off topic but I was wondering about your thoughts on trusting others and having an open heart to a situation while at the same time feeling like you don't want to get hurt, when the mind comes in with rationality. And is intuition/gut feeling something important to listen to? Is there a balance between the open heart and the 'rational' ego/mind?

Fear and love are contrary to each other. Trusting others and being open-hearted are my default. No one wants to be hurt, but I don't fear being hurt and I fully accept that I will be hurt (give it enough time and volume). I find 99 will reciprocate (to varied degrees) and the 1 will hurt you, but will you fear or hold it against the 99 because of the 1? Instead, I accept that the 1 will hurt me, but I trust and am open-hearted with the full 100 anyway. I don't fear any of them and don't worry about being hurt. By doing so I invite the good in others.

@@NondualityChannel thanks for the response. When I was talking about hurt, was talking about emotional pain and deception. I sense there's more than 1 out of 99 people that would be happy to take advantage of another.

​@@acehilm. I barely remember the last time there was a betrayal (of trust). You accept it, embrace it, and move on. I expected it to happen eventually...it was inevitable.

I can allow and accept my resistance but being appreciative of and in awe is not here yet. I’m clearing out my loft and being appreciative of all the stages to get rid of the rubbish is very challenging. ❤️
