Sadly the USA is the pinnicle of predatory capitalism. They are a neo fascist state that has indoctrinated their populice and more importantly the world by their media and culture. The more I learn about the mafia, I despise it (and of course same for CIA). As someone who grew up in a town in America that was once “run” by one of the families, and has learned a lot about the history of the area, and country, as it relates to labor, basically everything I’ve learned shows the part that the mafia played in the US was perhaps only second ti the part it played in Italy, in terms of crushing radical. I just wonder how these networks function today, and definitely do not believe this is all past tense. I pray that if I ever find out, it won’t be in any other context outside of defeating the enemies of humanity, which they are.

As an Italian old enough to have lived through many of the narrated events, as a militant of the PCI (Italian Communist Party) until its desmise in the lare 80's, and who studied the previous periods, i must say this is an excellent summary of the turbulent post WWII history of my country. Two minor criticisms: - a more chronological approach may have helped those not familiar with the events, rather than going back and forth through time. - you omitted, hopefully by mistake and not by choice, a very important figure of post war Italian history. Giorgio Napolitano was a fascist in his youth, a member of the infamous Republica di Salo under German occupation. When Mussolin was captured and executed, he, like many Italians, jumped on the winner's bandwagon. He joined the PCI of which he always represented the most moderate, reformist and atlantist wing. When the PCI was euthanized by its leadership, he became more and more promient in the various neoliberist, zombi parties that inherited the PCI's real estate and political machine (PDS, PD). When he became President of the Republic, he had a major role in the rape of our constitution so that it could accomodate the bankers' EU rule and in the dismantling one of the most advanced pro workers legislations in the world, along side the most rough privatisation of some of the best pubblic assets, destruction of public health and public schooling system etc. If you are not familiar with him, please check him out, because few figures represent political opportunism and total lack of values and principles as that scum.

Fascism was very popular among the ruling class here in the US (It still is but they've invented new names for it). Like so many other events (the depression of '20s - '30s for example), the rise of Fascism was a global phenomenon. But we have all been led to believe that it was limited nationally/regionally. The founding motivation of all these acts is continuity of power.

The U.S. ruling class directly inspired Nazi politics and economics. It was later revealed that the U.S. government had prior knowledge of concentration camps and gas chambers, but they chose to ignore it because they hoped the Nazis would defeat the communists later in the war. They did this because the U.S. realized it had much more in common with fascism than any progressive movement that was on the rise. The Americans only entered WWII to avoid international backlash, and they took most of the credit for the defeat of fascism. In most American schools, students aren’t even told about the heroes of the Soviet Union that did most of the heavy lifting. It’s all a part of the imperialist, revisionist system that seeks to destroy communism.

Capitalism is bringing us to extinction with climate change and its irrational and psychothic obsession with infinite growth, and if its guardian fascism manages to slow down the Revolution once again, It is game over for humankind. We once though Socialism was inevitable, because as long as the working class keeps being exploited It will keep eventually rebelling and It has to win just once, now we know that not only can the Revolution be destroyed decades after It won, but that we might be facing our last chance at gaining It before the world is irreversebly damaged. fascism in Italy was never beaten, in part, because they never underwent a crackdown like that in Germany, not even a trial like the Japanese war criminals suffered. There was no reckoning with the worst crimes of Italian fascism, which weren't committed in Europe but against Africans. Their sufferings were brushed under the carpet, and barely get remembered. The italian bourgeoisie was able to change the narrative of Italy from being one of the builders of fascism, to simply becoming it's victim.

These were supposedly stay behind networks in case of a Soviet invasion, however it was clear that wasn't going to happen, and they were instead used for the so called "strategy of tension" inside Italy at least, and quite likely others. Check out NATO: Secret Armies

Yep. We even see later examples of this model in Operation Cyclone during the 90s. The US funded right-wing, religious fanatics in the Middle East to suppress socialist movements and justify invasions that would exploit many countries’ resources. Here in Latin America we had something similar regarding CIA meddling and neo fascists groups. It was called called Operation Condor and it basically was a alliance of the reactionary status quo and the US pentagon that would quash any revolutionary left wing partisans who dared to oppose the despotism inherent in our politics. This was achieved specially well in the south where political "stability" and neo fascist anti communist consensus of tyrannies of the 20th century allowed for a level of cooperation to be achieved. All members of the OP had their own government sanctioned Fascist Death Squads. The Argentines specifically had their own called La Triple A which supposedly collaborated with your Italian Propaganda Due "friends". This is batsh*t insane. Thanks for your horrifying video!

It may seem that way, but I suggest you look at things through a different lens. If these are the lengths that the fascist powers will go to to stop communism, then it’s a testament to how powerful a United proletariat is. The capitalists fear it so much because it is the only threat powerful enough to topple their oppression. It’s up to us to spread class consciousness and scientific socialism. Only the proletariat armed with these weapons can defeat fascism once and for all.

I would have just specified more that the Christian Democracy (the party that governed Italy in those years) was an antifascist party, and its founders (like Alcide De Gasperi) were profoundly against fascism, as proved by the Scelba's law of 1952. Also, some of its members were victims of the system you described (let's remember the Moro case for example). There were also some members that were not really antifascists or had affairs with the Mafia but this was typical of almost every party in italian history

For someone who is not politically conscious, it would allure one to the fascist cause. It triggers an emotional response. This is where the Communist movement lost all hope in Italy. Though, I myself believe in Marxism, I cannot have faith in mass movements just because of incidents like these, as originally seen in October Revolution and so forth. The rabble has tainted an idea focused on humanism and leading the world forward. Thank you selaci, or katunars.
