Any of the 3 locations from my video for Stone Sheathed Sword, Light Alter, and Dark Alter can initially have the Stone Sheathed sword depending on which one you arrive at first you can get the stone sheathed sword and the other locations will become the light or dark alter. There’s actually a fourth alter in ancient rauh ruins if you use the spirit spring behind the big walking brazier to leap to the ruins above. Also a talisman up there. I believe mottled necklace +2

If It wasn't clear in the video. The swords can be swapped to Light or Dark. You just have to go to the corresponding Alter. If you want to wield both weapons at the same time you have to do a NG+. Hope This Helps. Subscribe to keep me motivated for Elden Ring Content!

interesting bit: i actually got my stone sheated sword from the rauh ruins, where the altar is, so i think it works by: first time finding an altar gives you the sword, second and third altar change between light and dark since the second altar i found was actually light not dark. interesting

It seems this also works the other way around. In my run, I found the stone sword at the fog rift catacombs, then turned it into the sword of darkness at the watering hole behind the furnace golem.

pro tip: when you're going across the bridge with the enemy casting rain of fire, you can use torrent there to get across faster and avoid the fire easier

Definitely recommend grabbing the stone sword from the Fog Rift catacombs. Longest walk of the three. Leaves the other two free for easy swaps.

I did the light sword in the reverse order, you can get the stone sheathed sword from the alter across the invisible bridge then get the light version from the alter in the church, I guess the first one you visit gives the stone sword

For the record. I highly recommend going to the catacomb dungeon first to get the stone sword there. No way am i running through that trap filled place more than once just to swap weapons

You can actually get inside the first alter without crafting anything. All you have to do is go to the back where a broken ledge is and jump on, and off, a column next to it.

Minutes 0:00 till 4:40 can be easily skipped, you can jump from behind the ruins on a tree and then on the building to enter the are with the sword. So no need to awake the Golem

I don't know if I did something different or if there is something related to game progress or if they changed it, but the locations of the sword and the shadow altar was swapped. I got the sword in the dungeon and the altar to get the shadow version was in the Ruins.

You can also get the sword of darkness from the knight in the church after completing ymirs side quest I do believe. That was you make the stone sheathed into light and have the dark also equipped

All of the NPCs are gone with the exception of Hornset Gandam, and her ass is sleep...I thought there would be a secret boss at Shaman Village. I don't feel that sense of completion

Just a note: The Rain of Fire incantation is quite possibly the worse incant in the entire game. Not sure if its bugged or just terrible by design I guarantee it is not worth the effort to use (500 damage vs an erdtree avatar with 60 faith and +25 seal....avatars have negative fire res)
