Holy crapballs! Back in 2009, a group I was in ran a CTF (SMPCTF, not sure if anyone remembers it) and PPP was at the top of the leaderboard. It was a three-day event over a weekend and was a tonne of fun. Our group disbanded a few years after that but hearing about PPP brings back amazing memories of that weekend. Thanks for another amazing episode and know that these stories can be more than just a story to some people.

I went to devry back in 06-07. The uni had a thing kind of similar. There was a class you would take later into the course where you would learn offensive and defensive apps and security. During the finals the class would get split up into various groups. One team was to defend a server, another was to attack the server. They each had goals, such as the offensive team trying to retrieve certain files or bring down a server for x mins. The defense team was there to prevent it. One year one of the offensive teams just snuck by the defense team and unplugged the opposing teams ethernet from the server. It was such a stupid little thing that the defense team didn't bother checking it for like 45 mins. It was perfect. The hiding under the table thing made me think about that.

48:00 my computer uses ARM 🤔 I don't think I'm that weird… Just kidding, only somewhat recently has Windows finally been putting in some hours in making things working right like *ARM64EC.* I'm glad it's becoming more standard, and it looks like *LoongArch, RISC-V and MIPS* are becoming way more prevalent. I love *CTF* stories, I'd love to be a part of a group like that sounds like such a fun time

This just raises so many questions about just how meta you're allowed to get in Defcon CTF. Like...sneaking an Ethernet cable into an opponent's router, legal. Hiding under an opponent's desk to overhear what they're doing, legal. ...can you find an opponent's IRL info and attempt to, say, make them think they have a family member in the hospital in poor condition to where they'd leave the competition, to get rid of an opposing team's top talent that way? Part of me wants the world's governments to agree that holding a black badge = full immunity from the consequences of any crime they commit involving a computer, no matter what.

The "fake yelling" doesn't help set the tone or create atmosphere. Very very annoying is all. Please please please tone down the dramatization with your voice; not trying to be a jerk, its just you're not good enough at it to pull it off and it isn't adding anything to the video.
