My favourite book from childhood. Thank you for uploading. What a delightful and cosy adventure. Can you upload the rest of the series?

It’s strange but I’ve got my nose out of joint with the “ clever son” on behalf of the family staying at the castle. Obviously the son has put quite a few tricks in the place to scare them off. Plus, what’s the go with them not answering the bells ect! I know it’s silly, and it’s only fiction but I feel like that anyway.

Check out the famous five stories. A character named Quentin. Portrayed as a wonderful genius, but an excruciatingly selfish man and a terrible father.

@ you are exactly right. I’ve commented on him too, saying he should not have been allowed to have children for the exact same reasons you have brought up. Isn’t he horrible. And no one else seems to worry about his appalling behaviour. Hope he makes lots of money because George will need to spend it all on therapy for the rest of her life!

I actually feel sorry for Guy Brimming. He's only a very clever chap, but because his family is of a servant class, he is never able to achieve his potential. This is aggravated further by the fact that his family works on the landed gentry, and he has to kowtow to people like the Arnolds.
