I remember years ago when they tried outlawing the under water cameras because they were going to make people “catch more fish “ and even though it is a fun thing to have, we all see what happened with that situation! Thanks again for the content Tom! And keep using that FFS!!

Tom, I miss the days when you would go into more specific detail on lure presentation. As a newby to walleye fishing, coming from a bass fishing world, it was super helpful to me in feeling confident I am presenting an offering correctly without "over-working" my bait. That's what "caught" me ... 😉 ... Get back to that! As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Go back through his video catalogue, rewatch the videos that you’re thinking of and take notes or make the mental notes. Then watch the clip again and pay attention to what Tom is doing and put it together. Then you’ll see him do those techniques in other videos, even when he doesn’t specify the details…but he’s always showing the lures he’s using. So it’s all right there. that’s what I’ve done anyway. Part of the fun of being a fisherman is the trial and error of fine tuning techniques.

If you’re looking for viewer suggestions on what where you should fish, I personally would like to see a “trip around Wisconsin”. Meaning I think it would be pretty cool to break WI down into four or five areas and hit up some smaller lakes that hold walleyes and go into detail about that lake: structure, lure, presentation. For example, I live in Waupaca county and I would like to see you come fish the Waupaca chain of lakes. The only issue with that is, 4 of the bigger lakes allow for skiers and recreational activities but there are no wake lakes but you still get the pontoon cruisers. If not that, any smaller lake would suffice.

Mission accomplished with a stud big fish! The small boat series is great! I have also noticed that the video footage, quality, and editing has stepped up to a new level. Looks really great and you could move your channel to a full-blown sponsored TV series if you ever want to. Question for your next episode - does Mitch focus exclusively on video or does he manage to fish in between segments? Second question does your 12V Jon Boat MinnKota have the new advanced GPS Drift Mode? This feature seems like a game changer to me… PS - I think my boat needs a Jet Boil 😊. I don't think you're taking into account the additional fish that die from CNR. Not all of the fish we catch and release survive. I think the bigger problem with FFS is ice fishing. I see a lot of people fishing basin crappies in 30'-40' of water and sorting through 50 fish to get 10 keepers. The fish they cnr aren't going to survive and they wouldn't be able to stay on the fish like they do without ffs.
@TomBoley6 ай бұрын
Basin crappies are the most susceptible to the average guy using ffs. But whether you have a flasher or a ffs basin crappies were always pretty easy to pillage. Which I'm sure is part of reason we are seeing panfish bags managed much more closely over the past few years. Which is a good thing

@kcrowe Fishing during the spawn in rivers has absolute no effect on walleye populations. I live on lake Winnebago. There are 19 public boat landings in Winnebago county alone.
