The problem is that I already have a Custom colors design for everything and don't want to change it. That would be useful to apply this new custom colors only for the chart, is that possible?

How can I keep a single horizontal gridline in the Y=0 for situations where my change goes below 0?

click format axis and make the min = 0

Aha.. you want to make the y axis always visible... So, don't make the min = 0. Set it to Auto. Let's see if that works.
