Nice to be able to save money from buying worms! Maybe I’ll start selling scuds now hahahaha

Just keep in mind scuds will eat moss and some plants. They will also outcompete dwarf shrimps. So they are awesome, but treat them like duckweed, don't put them where you don't want them, because you're never getting rid of them;)

How do we get scuds from a pond? I think I’ve seen people scoop them from the mud right? How do you filter out the stuff you don’t want lololol

I use hyalella azteca. Super Hardy and Easy tò breed
@MattiaTamos-pm2bcКүн бұрын
A lot of native scuds Need High oxigenation so culturing them in jars doesnt really work. Others Like hyalella are Absolutely fine in standing water

Don't include scud shrimp, took on and ate a baby newt larvae, be careful if you have egg laying fish ect, as they are worse and more mobile than snails. Pond full of them, only semblance of control is gold fish, or wildlife pond, damsel or dragon fly larvae, these things can get quite big. Even these cannot get in between pond plant roots, so forget scud shrimps. For the record the first shrimp you seen in this video, they were brine, totally different salt /brine water, don't listen to the robot. 😮😂😂😂😂😂😂

So the first part of the clip is referencing how I used to purchase brine shrimp for my micro predators! Not that those were scuds. Yes, to your point in the video I mentioned how if you don’t have micro predators your population will get out of hand. Further to your point, only populate your tank with the correct fish based on your tank size. Lastly, yes the voice is AI. But I am a real human writing my own thoughts. I am not a robot. 🤖😏
