mystical penguin3000 I have to disagree with your statement. It is training academy plus a school , but like many private schools with national ranking athletes they are highly focused on recruiting. In the state of Florida IMG Academy is considered an independent institution of the FHSAA because of their recruiting tactics. This means they can compete against FHSAA member schools but they are not allowed to compete in the state championships in sports. Also they offer Financial Aid to students who cannot afford the cost of attendance. Most of the students who are recruited to join IMG Academy are mostly high or middle class citizens so they do have to pay something out of pocket but if the student is low income and the Academy sees them as profitable they might offer them full tuition assistance.

Y'all see how nice the campus is, how don the locker rooms and training rooms are, the cafeteria, the fields and some of you probably know how the campus is so large that we have stops throughout campus where a tram comes every 5 minutes to take us wherever we're headed. You all see that and it's deep trust me. But please understand that it's a grind over there. I was blessed to spend two years at IMG and it was no joke. It got me ready for College and now I'm here playing Baseball at a D1 and while the other Freshmen are having trouble getting adjusted, I'm prepared and ready to go. I know what people say about IMG and just know that a lot of it comes from people who don't know what they're talking about and have never step foot on campus. Do you know why videos like this where they show a behind-the-scenes look at the IMG Campus, do you know why they're so popular? t's because unless you're a Student, Faculty or Parent of a Student, no one is allowed on Campus. There's 3 entry ways and they're all on guard 24/7. No one gets to come on campus unless you're supposed to be. Every student also has to sign a NDA when they arrive on Campus. They ask you to sign it before they even let you move in. The NDA makes sure no one talks about how the campus is, how much they paid for tuition, team exercises, school activities, class/practice schedule, school amenities, etc. etc. I'm saying this not to brag or sound like I'm someone big. Trust me, there are some kids there who are barely 9-11 years old and they're going to be winning Wimbledon and the PGA Tour in the future. I'm just an Alum who went D1, which is nothing there because everyone goes D1 there. So that's not why I'm saying any of this. I'm saying all of this because people need to stop listening and believing what others have been saying about IMG. Don't listen to anyone who talks about tuition price, recruiting, school schedules, or any of that. None of them know what they're talking about and have never been to IMG, let alone know what it's like there. If they did, they wouldn't be saying anything at all because they would know that's one of the main rules of attending IMG. This isn't really anything big, but it just shows how serious the rule is. When you enter one of the buildings (won't say which one) there's a picture of Brad Pitt and Edward Norton from *"Fight Club"* on the walls. It's the scene where they talk about the rules to Fight Club. But instead of the it saying "The first rule of Fight Club is that you don't talk about Fight Club," it instead reads "The first rule of attending IMG is that you don't talking about attending IMG. The second rule of attending IMG is that you don't talk about attending IMG." Yeah, that poster is hung somewhere where it's very visible to all. I won't say more but you get the idea. So don't listen to anyone talk about IMG because they don't know what they're talking about and are making up lies.

Man I wish I would've went to a high school like this where I only have class for 4 hours a day and go to practice the rest of the day, instead of having 7-8 days taking a bunch of BS elective courses that serve no purpose, I got pretty good in basketball and I had no where near the level of training and experience these guys are getting, if you go to a prep school and you don't get an athletic scholarship you just wasted your time and money, you might as well just stayed in public school, this school is paradise for athletes, I would legit cry on graduation day
