I'm so happy to hear that! Creating a valuable freebie to build you email list is a great idea. I would carry out some market research (share a Story to find out where your audience is struggling/what kind of content could help them) to figure out the best freebie to create and then test it out and see how it performs! If I am making a post about a specific product I am promoting and I want people to go to the website to see it and buy it, can I then direct them to the link in my bio? Or is it never a good idea?

It's not *never* a good idea, but I would definitely encourage you to (80% of time) make it super easy for people to get to that link in your bio... by giving it to them! So with your caption, the CTA could be something like... "Want to get your hands on this product? Drop a ["yes" -or- a particular emoji] down below and I'll send it to you direct"" That way, you're keeping engagement on your content and your more likely to actually get people to visit your website/convert.
