Very nice video man. If you want to learn more about profile charts check out Jim Dalton. Next to the volume profile is what's called monkey bars instead of candle sticks and it goes right along with what you were explaining. Which you did an excellent job at by the way🤙

Hey man I just want to say thank you for this, been using it for the past couple of weeks and its changed the game for me. I just have one question though, I always chart/use this on the 30 min time frame. Have extended hours unchecked (it doesn't show it) and for some reason if I were to draw my lines for VPOC and my zones for today, tomorrow there completely different. Example is I charted SPY yesterday using the VP you gave but today the areas on the VP are different. Only reason I can tell Is that the lines and zones I plotted are not the same as they were yesterday, any help?

This is awesome. I had recently had a few discussions with another trader about what he calls the "Fair Value Gap" which I would image would be the area between the highlighted areas for the 68%. Great info and script Litt! I ran a comparison between your script's POC and TOS POC and there seems to be some variation. Any ideas why? Example on Oct 8th, your script plots POC many points higher then TOS POC for /ES.

Thanks! To be honest I wondered the same thing and don't fully understand why they're a slight difference in the POC between the script's. I don't look at the default study in TOS anymore though, my suggestion would be to pick one and only use that one so at least that's consistent.

Hello, i wanted to say this is some awesome content and that i really appreciate the help and information youre giving out man! i had a question, i installed the Volume Profile into my TOS and ive been doing some back testing and yesterday i used it on SPY and said the next VPOC would be from 436 to 433 and it dropped. i had a question though, does the point of control change throughout the day? today ive been using it and it seems to change throughout the day and also through time frames, is that what it's suppose to do? i appreciate the help

ALSO AND ADD ON to my question, lets say a previous day of control auto becomes VPOC right, and in order for it to not be vPOC we would want the next day or sometime in the future for it to be touched, my question is, if the stock tests previous days VPOC in after hours does that count? or does it count only premarket, market hours and aftermarket of the following day?

Hey Tony, thanks for watching the video! I loved your questions and actually just published a video answering them (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6PMaJyOiaqUfZY) in further detail. To keep things strict, you'll only want to focus on the VPOC from the 30 minute time frame, the reasoning behind that is in the video I just mentioned. And yes, the POC does change throughout the course of the day but the VPOCs or previous POCs in general will always be set in stone so I pay attention those. You can definitely use the POC that's forming during the day to help with your day trades but once the market is closed where ever that POC lands is the price you're going to want to carry into the next day. VPOCs only become normal POCs after they've been touched during regular market hours. I talk about using the /ES or /NQ futures if you're looking at ext hours but for the most part you'll want to have your POCs in the SPY and the /ES as the SPY will have more vPOCs due to their being more gaps in the chart and same with QQQ vs /NQ. Hopefully that all makes sense and the new video on the vPOC will help fill in more blanks. Thanks! Bryant

@@TradingLitt Thank you for the reply bro! i really appreciate the help as well, your reply did make sense and answered my questions along with your new video, i saw it twice already and it has a lot of great information, i did some charting using vPOC yesterday and helped enter my Put position on SPY to the previous VPOC to 424 ish area. Waited for a retest to yesterdays vpoc to enter short but it got rejected before that, i wanna thank you for your help and knowledge because this if a trade i felt comfortable getting in all my other trades have been stressful and you keep it simple, sometimes i had a shit ton of lines with support reistance trend lines ect and along with the market kind of not respecting price action ive been losing recently but im trying this new strategy and so far its been working! i appreciate it bro!

Thanks for the content. Very helpful in my Journey, 2yrs and 3months in to day trading options only, majority SPY. Just started to really add volume to my confluences. attempting to so it as a guage for pullbacks from 9ema using supply/demand - resistance/support. This really gave me another way to guage the price action that i've been staring at for 2 years straight. Removing the candles from the chart was really cool, less is more. Hmmm... i was at that point before aswell... but i felt that it had been too many profiles to me... too much subjective self drawn zones / automated zones and lines and volume at time... so i condensed it all to something more... simpler... In the end everyone has to find the sweet spot of trading where you feel comfortable and confident to take a trade :)

9:43 I have TOS study that plots vPOC and once its tested, it stops printing the line anymore. I can see at glance on the chart where are vPOCs because the study draws the lines in front of vPOCs until they are not tested.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. What kind of size do you do when swing trading potential big overnight movers like ES futures and high priced stocks like ROKU? Do you use micro ES? If you'd rather not share exact # contracts or shares, perhaps what % of capital do you expose versus % of capital being risked (stopped against)? I look at the 5-year daily, non-parametric 95% VaR figure as to what the real risk of the exposure is. These things can gap right through intended stop loss areas when swing trading if one is wrong in the thesis.
