Why Brady is the goat is his motivation. 9 superbowls isn't the number that motivates him. It's the number 199. That's the number he was drafted at. Brady, in his mind, is still that 199th pick that needs to prove himself, all his insane success hasn't moved him past that day. Listen to him in interviews, he's laid back and lighthearted about everything, even his family, but not his draft day, he still gets upset about and emotional about it. Yeah I've gone from hating on him to admiring him.

You missed the largest factor to why the Pats have been able to sustain a success, Brady has been severely underpaid for over a decade in terms of talent and overall production. Name a QB that has done even half of what Brady has done. They would need 8 Division titles, 6 Championship appearances, at least 1 MVP, 4 trips to the SB 2 wins and 1 SB MVP. Say an NFL team had that type of player, wouldn't they be paid top billing? yeah well Brady has double that and is still getting paid 1/2 of what Kirk Cousins has been getting paid which is a sham. I agree with everything you said. But the reason everyone of those players left NE was cause they thought they deserved the big bucks. Brady has earned the right to be the highest paid player in the league, but he'd gladly take half if it meant a SB.
@lavanna805 жыл бұрын
That more proves Belichick greatness. Do you think another coach can lead such "mediocre" players. Also many players takes pay cuts to join NE to get a ring. Belichick also smartly snags great players on bad teams. How do you figure he got Moss? Belichick is known for whipping players into shape...he doesn't take any mess, he'll drop you. Pats players are expandable ( including baby Brady) it's Belichick that holds them together.
@GLee-oe3op5 жыл бұрын
Lavanna Wright people also forget Belichick also turned the Giants and Jets from cellar teams to contenders
@tub3watcher5 жыл бұрын
He didn't miss that *largest factor* at all. It's part of #1, Team First. Brady places more value on a winning team than on extra millions. His wife has twice his net worth, and he's not exactly hurting for money. The 'extra' money at this point is 'just numbers' to him. A lot of players are happy with one ring and will move on to greener pastures, but Brady wants all of the rings that the team can get. They take a sort of Babe Ruth approach to the game. Ruth said he always tried to hit a homer because there might be somebody in the stands who has never seen him play. The veteran Patriots always try to win a Super Bowl because there are always players on their team who haven't won one, whether it's rookies or free agents. A prime example and Cinderella story this past season has been Jason McCourty, who was 0-16 last year with the Browns and won a Super Bowl with the Pats this year. You can't buy that. The Patriots' winning ways gets them a lot of notice in free agency, which also helps.
@anythingRL5 жыл бұрын
he also donates half of his salary to charity too...man I know people dont like him cause he is good but... he is such a good guy

@@tub3watcher others did ,too. You didn't hear much about Rivers and Manning, but baby brady had the luxury of playing with a coach like Belichick and an owner that works well together. Great draft picks, great coordinators, etc. Many better qbs didn't have that. Philip Rivers would have had better success with the Pats than Baby brady will have with the Chargers.

@@maltesimusfraterdemassimo7215 Exactly what accolades as an "offensive minded" coach did Bill Belichick use to make Tom? The only reason I agree with you is because no other coach or organization would have given Tom a chance. Tom has more to do with the Patriots continued success IMO than Bill Belichick.

it's because Rodgers Brees Manning and Favre all played in the NFC which is actually a good conference. The Patriots are in the cupcake AFC and are always in the Super Bowl because they're the only descent team in the AFC

Great video explaining the Patriots. Hopefully most other NFL teams will not take this video seriously or understand the Belichick/Kraft System Factor (BKSF). Some of the comments are right on the money below too (i.e. salary of Brady and others and the willingness to play for that number), but all of it is related to the system and the BKSF. Being truly a great team needs to curb the 'I' factor. Needs the great coach and great owner.

When talking about the adaptability and preparation Belichick prepared Butler for the play my team the Seahawks ran when they were at the one yard line in the Super Bowl. And Belichick shut down Wilson and Lynch in the fourth quarter. Butler practiced the play when they were practicing before the Super Bowl. I noticed Bledsoe was losing games prior to his injury and he didn't like Belichick.

I'll admit that the reasons stated in this video are true, but a few years ago in a press conference Commissioner Rodger Goodell stated that he wants to do everything possible so that the Patriots stay the"Golden Team" of the NFL any way possible, example being the false roughing the passer call in the AFC Championship game against the Cheifs

It's not a secret. They never have the most talented roster. What they have is an elite coaching staff and front office, something that is not tied by a salary cap. Even if they lose assistant coaches every year, they can replace them. With those coaches, they can play with any scrub they can get and develop him into a solid football player. The Patriots are always well coached, very disciplined, prepared for every game more than any other team.
