Looks like a good channel here. I believe the trader needs pretty extensive education and experience to do well with options. Even the safest use of options, selling covered calls and cash-secured puts, has some pitfalls that require good experience to handle well. Actually buying calls and puts (as opposed to selling them for premium) are the minority of my options trades. Of course, the reason they are risky is that they are, by definition, wasting assets. So I would suggest that traders tread slowly into options, and grow their experience over time. Options are wonderful tools for those who well understand them.
