Original air date of this NBC News, presumably White Paper, Laos The Forgotten War was January 5, 1967. The producer, director, co-writer, and NBC reporter, Ted Yates, was killed later that year on June 5, 1967 in Jerusalem while covering the 1967 Arab-Israeli war.

The Hmong villages would've been bombed just like the Lao villages that were bombed. This would've of pushed us to support the Vietnamese and Pathet Lao. We would've been convinced that supporting the communists will stop the bombings. Either way, the ethnic minorities were deplorable to the majority. And the smaller countries were deplorable by the bigger countries.
