All rats were inspected by workers before they were tossed in the fire... and you'd have to look at the rats butt to see if there was anything fishy about it... after years many people stopped worrying about it and that is where the phrase "I don't give a rats azz." comes from.

You just reminded me of a story I was told. My friend said when he was in grade 4 or 5, don't recall and not important. It was considered an honour to empty the waste paper basket, well can really, for the teacher. Sure enough, his day came and he proudly took the waste paper down to the boiler room. Problem being, the janitor was napping. No problem, my friend opened the door to the firebox, or whatever it's called, emptied the bin and quietly left. Here's where the problem enters. The 2 empty cans of clear spraypaint from artclass in the bin. He was halfway back to class when the loud boom shook the school. On the bright side, the boiler door was only blown off one of its two hinges. He never mentioned what happened to the janitor. Talk about a rude awakening!
@gnarthdarkanen7464
@gnarthdarkanen7464 Жыл бұрын
A bang that big??? I can promise you neither of those cans was entirely empty... OR that one was at least half filled... Likely a slow leak had let the propellant out... I've thrown many MANY cans of everything from spray paint and adhesive to starting fluid into fires... Growing up in the county (as opposed to city living) has led to some very dubious hobbies... AND a properly empty can of spray paint, clear coat or otherwise, will give a fairly audibly pop, but have neither the umph to shake a building, nor the concussive power to knock even a light sheet-steel firebox door loose of the catch (which usually only requires a slight lift as you pull to open it) let alone misalign or break a hinge... Totally full, and without propellant, most paints will create a pressure but the cans tend to have a weak point, where rupture occurs and a majority of the sounds is rather similar to a rocket, shooting flame outward over several meters... but again, no thunder, no glory, and no shrapnel or concussive damage... Optimal (if I recall correctly) depends on the paint particulars... Red Devil brands tend to do best a bit under half full, and can flash-out like a grenade, giving you about a 30 foot diameter to the fireball overhead... There was a "Dollar Store" paint (not that it was the namebrand of the store in question, only that you frequently found it in such stores in the States... Seemed to perform best at around 2/3 full and those could be truly impressive, though they weren't a reliable explosive mix.. The cans were also somewhat dubious for structure... some holding out well long enough to give way with remarkable explosive intensity and rocking out 50 foot or larger diameter balls of hell and raining shrapnel and burning debris as far as 100 feet depending on size and weight... even if the can had landed well on TOP of everything... Others sputtered madly and randomly, dancing about a bit in the flames and cinders and red-hot coals as little 10 inch balls bounded in various directions and stuck to anything they touched... adding to the freakishness of the site and leaving bubbling and burning trails in their wake... BUT BY FAR, Ether Starting Fluid in any form was the winner... I once tossed a matal bottle of the stuff (the first I'd ever seen) with almost a quart inside... and the fireball that ensued from that burn-pit was something barely spoken of outside of D&D fiascoes or perhaps something akin to the Bible... Don't screw around with Starting Fluid OR Ether... Diethyl or otherwise... That's not a toy! I'd have much nicer eyebrows if I hadn't... ;o)

It may come one day to be recognized, that the number of legs, the villosity of the skin, or the termination of the os sacrum, are reasons equally insufficient for abandoning a sensitive being to the same fate. Do NOT BUY KAMIKOTO KNIVES! Sorry, just had to try to prevent people from making a huge mistake. They really are really crappy knives. If you want a "real" Chefs knife, get a Wusthof Classic Chefs knife like a 9 or 10 inch. They are under $200, are the sharpest factory sharpened knife, and an extremely well-built knife. I am still using the one I bought 20 years ago when getting my BAS in Culinary Arts, and I can still shave with it, granted I keep it well sharpened, which isn't hard with the 12 degree angle. Get yourself a steel also, not a sharpener, a "steel". Send it in to be professionally sharpened, unless you understand how to sharpen at specific angles or you'll ruin the edge. I bought an actual pro sharpener to do mine.

With Kamikoto knives, the box is worth maybe $20, and better knives can be had off Amazon for $100 for all of them, or $120 for a set with double the number of knives and a block, and yet Kamikoto is charging $341. They're possibly made of Japanese steel, but it's 420J2 steel, which is quite cheap. Better quality steel like Cr17 can be found in cheaper knives, hold their edge better, sharpened to a better edge, and overall more durable. The only downside to Cr17 is that it takes longer to sharpen it.

I wish you put some effort into verifying your sponsors. Kamikoto knives are owned by the same company that owns the scam business of established titles and number of other shady businesses. You don't have to dig into the companies, just a little verification should be good enough? Since you are an amazing KZbinr people might take your word for it! Could you please be a little more careful next time? Great video though!!

The plastic explosive must have been very unlike C4, and a few others. Several of those substances actually will not explode without the correct catalyst, be it electricity, chemical, etc. C4 is a funny one, because demonstrations tend to be along the lines of rolling up a cylinder of C4 and lighting it on fire. It just burns, as everyone freaks out and tries to hide. On the other end of the spectrum, however, there is at least one that's literally rocket fuel with a consistency change, and many that do not burn or smolder. They just PURELY combust.

Fun fact of the day is the war pigs were far more effective if set on fire first. The screams they emitted were the most tweeting thing to an elephant in battle and often caused them to charge back into friendly lines. Riders kept a hammer and pick in case this happened and would hammer the pick into the elephants brain to stop the beasts rampage.

Kamikoto knives are, in fact, not actually used by Michelin chefs around the world, and has be proven to be a scam. They are made of the lowest grade steel that can be readily bought for production, and are not "hand-made" outside of being finished by hand on a grinder, most of the process being a factory make. The can't hold an edge, which is why you get the whetstone. Kamikoto is also just another out of many dozens of businesses created by the same scammer from Poland, who moved to China to avoid the authorities. It is one out of 4 of the businesses he created, and only got successful because they managed to fool people into thinking it was good.

Horses used by Poland in WW2 weren't quite used to charge at the enemies but to lug around the heavy AT weapons. And ironically horses weren't phased out during WW2. They pretty much served as part of logistics anyway. So what if they weren't as useful as tanks in combat? They have had other uses.
