basically they only want the world to be modified if the player is involved or can prevent it if it’s unwanted; Endermen are an exception because they don’t do it enough to cause any issue (at least, most of the time), and probably because they were added in an old update, which is possibly before Mojang’s design philosophy for this.

I really dislike Enderman griefing, and I typically install a datapack to disable this behaviour. I'd love to see a game rule that could disable it instead, which doesn't affect other mob griefing behaviours such as villagers.

I love where the Allays spawn 1. In cages at Illager Outposts 2. In the jail cells at the Woodland Mansions. Possibly hinting that vexes are either corrupted Allays or related to Allays in some way. Interesting thing about allay design: the original allay that was called wisp was inspired by the MC dungeon wisp in one of the the ancient hunt levels( mansion prison) The wisp idea was inspired by the wisps form warcraft 3( night elf workers)

The Copper Golem had a ton of potential honestly. Imagine them following you around like a little helper. Lifting you up a block to help cut down that tree, holding a item or two for you whilst you mine. Heck, maybe even make it charge up via a lightning rod, or make it so it can be used as a portable furnace. The Copper Golem has so much potential to be an awesome addition... instead we got the Alley because kids thought "FrEe DiAmOnDs" and went with that.

Hey, maybe same for the golem. All it did was press buttons and nobody got that much info. The allay didn’t need much explaining, anyway, and it’s really cute, with its dancing and noises. It also adds lore. Spawning where illagers are, adding lore, because they look similar to vexes and sorta sound the same.

I think it would be genius of Mojang if they added the feature of harmonizing the Allay mob so that whenever it is near another Allay there could be a musical interaction. I think this would fix the jarring sounds produced by the Allays in groups. This would also add a new dimension of sound mechanics and fit well with the update. We could also have a choir of Allay! On twitter, Kingbdogz and another dev said the losers are still considered for future updates, though this may not include the first vote’s mobs (outside of Dungeons I suppose, considering Mob D almost being in the game as more than a statue and getting a new, official name). For the votes themselves, it feels more like marketing to me; it is nice to get the community involved, but they actually involve the community on nearly everything in terms of feedback and such, and clearly take what we say into account, so that combined with the cheaply made Allay merch that came just moments or so after it was revealed to be the winner, and how many community members don’t actually like doing the votes unless they’re like the biome votes (though even then there’s some absurd toxicity :S though it doesn’t seem to be as much)…feels just like marketing stuffs.

Actually, I just thought of a way more interesting use of the allay than it’s past and present purpose: If you die near soul sand then a large group of allays will leave the soul sand and grab one of your items. the allay they’ll either fly around the nether aimlessly while still holding one of your items, or they’ll retreat to the soul sand where they came from with the item they’re holding so that the item is transferred into the soul sand. Also maybe you could even tame it by given them a valuable item while they’re in the soul sand, allowing it to still be used for its initial purpose. It would be use to save and preserve your items so that it doesn’t despawn while you’re trying to get to it. Plus if the allay just flies around with your item then it could also help you get one of your items back (without it necessary being tamed). So yeah that’s my idea. I’ll allow it to be used for free however if you *are* reading this mojang I’d like to take this opportunity to say that as of now I am of working age and unemployed, and I have experience in the fields of programming, design, art, and music, and design technology. If you (mojang) respond to this comment then I’ll send you my business email and talk about future employment opportunities, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Allays ability makes it easier to make farms that you want specific items only. Like for gunpower or rotten flesh. You could just sit in a specific area, have the allay come to you, and drop it all off. You could also have new keycard doors. Like a Allay holding a cookie. You drop a cookie on the ground, and it activates a tripwire, or pressure plate!
